Not a Good Old Game
Below average, boring corridor console shooter. Calling it Good Old Game is a overstatement.

They don't make 'em like this anymore.
There aren't very many shooters that match the style, snappy controls, inventive enemies, and interesting level design of Fire Warrior. The gameplay is reminiscent of many old-style classic shooters like Area 51, Medal of Honor (the real ones), or Half Life. And while few games hold up to something like Half Life in pure level design, Fire Warrior does have advantages granted by the Warhammer 40K universe. Simply put, there's nothing quite like facing off against an ultramarine as a puny mortal with a scavenged firearm, or worse, a chaos marine. A lot of the depth and variety of this older style of shooter have been lost by modern shooters, and yet Fire Warrior still has the snappy controls and aggressive enemies you'd expect in a modern shooter. For $6 I would recommend this to any shooter fan.

For historic value only.
Between enemies strafing hard like 12year-olds in Counter Strike, and the screen shaking while the area is shelled by artillery this turns out to be pretty non-fun experience. Guns are kinda meh. You have your primary rifle and then you can pick up guns from killed enemies into the second slot. Voice acting during missions sounds like it's done in a basement with a laptop microphone. I highly doubt I will continue playing, but it was good to experience this title, since I heard a lot about it.

just like how I remembered.
Glad this still works on windows 10. I played the ps2 version originally and loved it. I was glad to see this game on this sight and was also glad that the katana was still glitched. In the ps2 version Kais swings and holds the katana normal, but for some reason on the pc version it is glitched and I love it. This game got me into warhammer 40k when I was 6 years old. I did not know what I was playing at the time until I was 15 and saw the table top miniatures of the Tau. This game is the reason why the Tau is my favorite faction to play as in the games.

Can see why it was so cheap.
Has the issue of saying "Use the JUMP BUTTON to jump!" but never actually saying what the button is, for every single control. Mouse sensitivity changes when in combat, completely screwing with my aim every single time. Only thing that can be changed ins settings is audio. This game wouldn't be worth grabbing even if it was free.
