Description
The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.

Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.

  • Decisions you made in Season One and in 400 Days will affect your story in Season Two
  • Based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic books
  • Play as Clementine, an orphaned girl forced to grow up fast by the world around her

I thought i have choice,but....

no matter what i chose ,people got killed eventually, so what's the point of choosing? And the storyline is not good as season one. I cried like a baby when Lee faced his fate in s01, but in s02, i didn't feel much for anybody. there was only one time i dropped my tears when Lee showing up in Clam's dream, and promised her that he will never leave her alone. OMG, my tears, i'm crying again.

Good but not as good as season 1.

I am conflicted as I did somewhat enjoy this game but it's not as enjoyable as the The Walking Dead Season 1. Now while their are choices that have some affect on the story but it don't have as much affect as it did in season 1. Also theirs no way to avoid the death of your companions. In Season 1 it was your fault if someone die unless it was meant to happen but in season 2 no matter what you do 99% of your companions will die. That's my major issue with Season 2 as the choices you make doesn't matter as much as in Season 1. Now while that is a major flaw in this game it's still a good game with a great story and great characters and if you enjoy a game with those features then you will enjoy this game.

Good story, average game, bad choices

I generally enjoyed the game, the way the story played out. And it is a story - you don't have a huge amount of relevant freedom that actually affects how things go. As long as you play it for the story, that's not a bad thing. But I really hate the way Telltale add unskippable previews at the end of each episode, with all sorts of spoilers, but you have to sit through it if you want to see the credits and hear the music. I put up with this for a while then stopped buying their games. All it needed was a "skip" button. It's as if they created a UI that limited your choices more than the game itself does. It annoyed me enough that I halved the score.

Great, but not quite as good as Season 1

GOOD: Graphically the game looks very nice. The music and voice acting is top-notch. BAD: 1. If you are continuing after playing Season 1, Season 2 will complain about no save files (from Season 1) found. You need to rename the folder with your save files (in Documents/Telltale Games) from "The Walking Dead - Season 1" to "The Walking Dead - Season One". (Windows OS). 2. For some of the action sequences I had to redo them until I figured out what to do. Some of the on-screen prompts for action sequences are not very helpful. 3. My biggest complaint about Season 2, especially the FIRST episode is that the focus seems to be punishing Clementine (the player) with regards to the storyline. The developers seem to be almost sadistic in coming up with new situations to torment Clementine in this episode. Now, I understand the "after the apocalypse" world is supposed to be dark and grim but I feel it is unrealistic for a 11 year old girl by herself to endure some of the things that Clementine does (including performing self-surgery!). I guess the objective is to show how tough she is to survive in a harsh world but it is beyond realistic expectations. I also thought that one of the possible endings was unrealistic. 4. One of the things that made Season 1 great was the feel of surviving in a post apocalyptic world with Lee looking after Clementine - you really were emotionally invested in protecting Clementine. With Season two this important dynamic is missing. 6. I thought Clementine's voice sounded older than her age (sounds like an older teen). 7. Another thing is the pushing of important tasks on Clementine. While I understand this for "advancing the gameplay" reasons there are lots of times when I was thinking "In a group of adults the kid has to do everything?" SUMMARY: If you played Season 1 you definitely want to continue the story to see what happens. Despite the issues above it's still a good game, but like others have said I'd rate it below Season 1.

Problem with language settings

Really good game but not as good as season 1 for two reasons: 1) Less immersion because of playing a kid which you had to protect in the first season. 2) The main (technical) problem is that you have to choose a lot responses/decisions under time pressure and the game is in english (audio) but the text (decisions and optional subtitles) is in the language in which country you are (windows regional settings). It is hard hearing english and deciding in german, especially when the translation fits not really well. !! SO PLEASE UPDATE FOR ENGLISH SUBTITLES/ANSWER-Alternatives !!
