Difficulty cliff?
If you're thinking this game is anything like Don't Starve with a world you can explore and expand your farm into then you will be very disappointed. The playable area of the game is about a 4 by 3 screens area and any farm land is locked into place in predesignated spots, any buildings you can build also have to be build in predesignated spots. You move from "world" to "world" by portal once you beat the boss and there is never anything to explore, there is just a bit of scenery with harvest-able plants around your base. One issue that the game has is the overly rapid attack speed of the enemies, its very hard to respond to enemy attacks when you take your eyes off of your crops for literally a second and half your harvest is just gone due to one or two enemies walking into your crops. The first boss has a similar problem, because it continually spawns in enemies that will tear through your base in hardly any time at all, you can't afford to not anticipate the attack before it happens. The real big problem the game has though is its weird difficulty curve, or rather a cliff, the start of the game is incredibly punishing but it will rapidly keep getting easier due to the upgrades you unlock, also you can never truly lose the game because time will simply reset and you get to do the combat section over as much as you want. At the start of the game all actions take stamina and this stamina does not recover on its own, so if you fuck up you can get sort of stuck on low stamina for a while until you find the means to recover, which will be slow going and leaves you with nothing to do but skipping time. Late game though will see your stamina use decrease to a pittance of what it once was and you'll have endless resources to recover it when you need it and you regenerate stamina every night for free. It would have been nice if the early game was less oppressive and the late game more challenging.
