Ragnarok. Legend has it that when the coldest winter descends, the Jotan will return to take their vengeance against the Gods of Asgard. The world is on the road to perdition and the fate of Midgard hangs in the balance. But when the Fire and Frost Giants begin to merge their armies, they encounter the clan of the Ulfung – the Wolves of Midgard. Bloody, but unbowed following the destruction of their village, this notorious band of ostracized Viking warriors are determined to seize their destiny and save the world. Vikings: Wolves of Midgard is a recommendable dungeon crawler, with fun and interesting enemies, a wide but not overwhelming array of player abilities, and an engaging combat system that demands that players remain on their toes and think carefully about what abilities to use and when. However, a few technical issues, and a repetitive structure prevent the game from being something for players to return to after they’ve completed the main story.

Is Vikings: Wolves of Midgard the kind of game that you can have a run at and finish in around the 12-15 hours it’ll take to finish its campaign? Absolutely. Just don’t expect it to be able to keep a grip on you once the end credits have thawed out.

Graphics 8/10 Gameplay 7/10 Story 7/10 I bought this game because I have this sudden urge to play norse-god-related game AFTER I watched Infinity War (All hail Thor and his new weapon) and because I don't own a Playstation (Could not play God of War 4) and somehow this game kinda satisfies my needs. It's getting repetitive after a while, reminds me of Torchlight. Otherwise, it's fine.

No random map generation
Beware - the game has great visuals and is a ton of fun to play, but it is not a roguelike ARPG in the vein of Diablo, Torchlight, or Path of Exile. This is the one thing I wish I had known before purchasing. It plays like a Torchlight-style ARPG, but the maps are the same every time. On top of this, the game is quite hard at harder difficulty settings. If you're like me and you only enjoy ARPGs in ironman mode, you will be replaying the same maps over and over and over again. Regretted purchase!

Deceptively dissapointing
Most dissapointing game of all times... Camera too zoomed in. Cannot properly see what is in "south" you only have good vision to the "north" of camera. Loot is not random. Runes take too much time to properly unlock. 1/10 in my book :(

So far one of my favorite ARPG games
Played about 3 hours of it solo so far as an Odin deity and im having alot of fun. Imo im having much more fun in this then games like Grim Dawn, Diablo 3 and PoE. I acually get exited when a magic item or higher drops. I also like the exposure system where you for example take damage if you stay in cold weather for to long and need to seek camp fires. I really do recommend this game.
