Underated Gem
Played through this game over 2 years ago the last month of junior year of HS. I was ADDICTED. Absolutely hooked. I explored every crevice of this game. I was blown away by the atmosphere, the dialogue, the writing, the world building, and even impressed by the animation during dialogue sequences. It nails the linear exploration. It makes the world feel big and alive. Each district is is packed with side quests and things to find. They're all unique and have their own identity. I think this version of the game holds up nicely even today. The version you can find here on GOG is better than the steam version. I put over 20 hours on the steam version just to run into a big bug in my playthrough. So I bought the game again on GOG lol. Though I did manage to get it for a nice discount on sale. I then proceeded to play through the entire game and play through every side quest as toreador. This game means a lot to me and I wish it was more prevalent in media as this eworld is so interesting. I still come back to this game every once in a while and scratch that itch. There really is no game quite like VTMB. I hopw the sequel is half as good. With all this being said do yourself a favor and grab the game. Whether on sale or not you'll be happy. I promise. Then after you complete the game and maybe do some other stuff like trying a different clan, grab the free mod and try it out.

Love the graphics and the story. It actually made me shiver a few times. Big love for the devs.

Shows its age, still incredible
Was looking for a game like Fallout New Vegas, i.e. choice and consequence, solid rpg mechanics, engaging story, memorable characters, replayability, etc when I stumbled upon VTMB. This game has everything I was looking for. If you are looking for a game to scratch the FNV itch, and can accept the frankly terrible combat, this game is for you!
