A game that hides controlls
I've never played a game that hid how you have to do every action like a state secret. Nothing is obvious or designed intuitively and the combat feels boring and uniformed. 2 abilities one that attacks a target and another that does 6 true damage to one target. How much is a normal attack for? Couldn't tell you. Is it better than true damage, no clue because I have no idea what true damage is or what it does opposed to normal attack damage. These are not complex concepts and could be handled by telling you what any of those things are at any point other than finding optional scattered codex pages throughout the world.

Worth to explore
It looks like Darkest Dungeon but it is not and that's fine. Fights and explorations seem easy and/or weird at first ? Yeah, the challenge is among the boss fights and... that's fine too because it gives more interest to the main story. Give this game a chance. "Vambrace: Cold Soul" really deserves it.

i got this game for free and tried it
right from the start game is heavy and very poorly made unity bullcrap Cinematics can not be skipped and are narrated by some lady who think she can scale the ice mountain alone? or go to lone wanders in the cold place to suddently discover super powers damn authors definitely have 0 idea how leaving house under 10 degree is like what is with this new developers and they dire need to ground my dark fantasy in superpower girl fantasy bullshits Every character looks like was designed by edgelord you can not rename or style anybody... YOU CAN NOT TURN OFF TORTURIAL basically bad darkest dungeon clone.. its honestly awful, in DD Helion was my hard-carry subby wife, in vambrance i wanna start hitting my own characters to stop saying lame shit interesting part of the game: its 1.10 Fix GOG version, which makes me believe developers no longer work on games, which might be for the better Graphics: 4/5 - outside of character design game looks good Gameplay 2/5 - grindy, slow, can't skip faster! Story 1/5 Characters 1/5 - im sorry i could not like one and they never shut the hell up Performance 2/5 - idk if its just how game works, but it feels stiff and slow BTW i love darkest dungeon, this game is just lame replica in my eyes without looking thru lens of DD its interesting attempt to make narrative game by potato farmers

Good game marred with flaws
Game is really good overall but there are some very annoying things about it. Firstly, on GOG the achievements don't work at all for me. Secondly, putting points into Perks with the keyboard is glitched in that depending on which way you scroll, you could end up putting points into a non-selected Perk - workaround is to use the mouse cursor instead. Thirdly, the game sometimes saves you exactly where you are and sometimes teleports you all the way back to the start of a dungeon - thus losing all your progress even though the game clearly told you it saved near the end. Lastly, the game's ending cutscene glitched out on my. It got to the part right before the protagonist should awaken, but instead the ending credits suddenly appeared instead...
