Alma is an Automaton that awakens to a world in ruin after the war with the humans. Anima, the resource that gives Automatons sentience, is running out and turning Alma’s friends into mindless killing machines, the UNSIGHTED.
Key Features
EXPLORE YOUR WAY - The world of Arcadia is massive and ripe for exploration, with many shortcuts to discover and maps both above and below the surface of the world. When one path seems too tricky, find new uses for familiar weapons and tools.
RICH AND VARIED COMBAT - Build your perfect loadout to suit your playstyle. UNSIGHTED allows players to equip weapons in various ways, from dual-wielding swords to shuriken and shotgun combinations. Alma will need to use perfectly timed combat actions to trigger faster reload speeds or a massively damaging parry to survive in the city.
CRAFT AND UPGRADE - Upgrade Alma through an extensive upgrade tree via chips you’ll find throughout your journey. Chips can be crafted or discovered, and each offers different bonus effects. Experiment with nearly limitless builds from the fast and efficient to the powerful and stylish.
CHOICES MATTER - Alma’s withering life force ticks away in real-time and is the driving factor in the story of UNSIGHTED. Tarry too long in one spot, and you may find that critical NPCs have already become Unsighted before you meet them. Save or drain other Automatons of their anima for your survival. The constant passage of time can result in vastly different endings and allows for further playthroughs to stay fresh and exciting.
HIGHLY REPLAYABLE + CO-OP - In addition to the main story UNSIGHTED also features additional challenge modes, BOSS RUSH and DUNGEON RAID. You can also bring a friend along your journey through Arcadia through full-featured CO-OP.

A scenario very classic but properly executed, and the central gimmick of the time limit make the traditional re-exploring of the world after each new power unlock a lot less tedious. It meshed well with my personnal brand of completionite.
Fantastic game!
The combat is fast but technical, with the varied weapons and the stamina system and parry mechanics.
The movent is very good. It provides a lot of freedom with some "hidden" techs that can even break some progression if you are that kind of player.
The puzzles are very cool and have a nice degree of complexity.
With a time-limit mechanic, the story becames even more interesting and relatable, as you have to think a little about how you are going to spend some resources and also care about the characters you encounter.
I played it on the Playstation rather than PC, and it was an amazing experience. I can't attest to how it'd feel to play with a keyboard but I'd suggest a controller either way to get the full experience.
The action was fast paced and intuitive with it's design. You end up balancing the need for defense and skill over a strong offense and if you're not careful it's easy to be defeated. I enjoyed this aspect, as even towards the end of the game, while my abilities and equipment improved, my greatest weapon was the skills I had developed along the way.
The characters are interesting though not exactly in depth. The focus of the game is very much the gameplay, level designs, and visuals rather than in depth character backgrounds. The level design goes between 3 layers/floors that adds some depth to the levels as you can fall from one floor and end up in another. And there are elevators between them, making for some more interesting map navigation and exploration. All of it is done with excellent sprite art as well, including several animated cut scenes. The gameplay has RPG elements with equipment and augments to your character stats, but the game is first focused on playing and fighting with skill over just attacking repeatedly. So as you power up, you will find earlier enemies easier, but not so trivial that you outright ignore their actions.
The game also has a core mechanic around every persons time running out that can add challenge to the the game if you are trying to save them all without any perishing. As you will need to gather a certain rare resource and divvy it out amongst the populace, and if you run out or take too long, they'll start to fade away. I found myself caring a lot for the NPCs as they could in fact die if I did not actively try to save them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and recommended it to all my friends. Studio Pixel Punk did a great job with this and I'll be keeping an eye out for more from them!
The game is okay.
Parry is your best friend, if you don't master it you'll struggle a bit. Text/chat dialogue is barely there, besides everyone once at 4 hearts basically trying to either hit on the protagonist alongside providing some sorta boost/support item.
Story is... "meh". Really revolves around unlocking memory fragments about basically 99.9% of the populace being female androids.
The biggest gimmick that upsets folks is the time mechanic, its not to bad at all. Its really easy to manage, its just about not dying often, and actually semi quickly breezing through stages. You'll get to a point where farming for resources is unneccessary and you just wanna beat the game to "complete" it.
If the whole time constantly ticking away is a big killer for you, just enable explorer mode.
Co-op is local, i asked about this but it didn't seem to answer too much about playing on two seperate machines for simplicity. Its not that simple, you load it on a computer, and either hook up 2 physcial or wireless controllers (xbox 360/xbox one controllers seem to work best), and then set the game to 2 player mode. Its kinda a hinderance as far as movement goes because you really need to coordinate with your local team-mate to get anywhere, on the flip side, they basically get a copy of everything you have equipment wise so it helps out alot, as far as quickly plowing through the game. Solo is a challenge, actual communicating coop is a cake walk.
arcadia reminds me of the megaman zx series, i think this is some sorta distant relative or in the same universe as megaman, but with out megaman/zero/zx.
I suggest checking out the demo first, i personally enjoyed it.
