Issues with saving

I lost two gameplays because my saves were nowhere, or nowhere near the last spot. The game is lovely though, but i fail to see the reason behind only automatic saves...

tedious visual novel, sparse autosaves

not a point & click adventure, just an animated visual novel with a lot more loading between areas than you'd expect. it looks nice and text can be made silent and faster (not instant though) and there's an auto-text toggle, but that's about it. walk around and talk to people in an extremely slow fashion. as usual, it could've been a movie or just cut all the walking to make it more stomachable, 2 hours instead of the supposed 5. no hotspot indicator, gotta mouse over the entire screen every time to see if you can talk to somebody or leave. and even worse, no manual saving and autosaves aren't common enough. a game like this should save constantly, after every dialog and scene transition. there isn't much else on offer here, so that'd do. there are supposed to be puzzles or mini-games but I gave up before finding one. I tried to speed things up with cheat engine but there are 8(!) processes running and I didn't feel like trying the speed hack on all of them. if only the story or characters were interesting, I would've stuck around longer, but without a proper save system it wouldn't be recommendable anyway.

Charming adventure with great art

The game took me about 4 hours. Since immacolata warned about the saving, I was cautious and found, that leaving the game after the end of day, when part of the past was shown, had the game saved. It might show, when it saves, but it is a visual novel, so my eyes are elsewhere. :-) I love the art and the story is unique, even though I suspected a big part of it after a while. You can make some choices in conversation, but since I only played once, I don't know, if and if so, what kind of difference they make. I liked the ending I got, so I don't feel the need to play again anytime soon. (Because I still have games I haven't even played once yet.) I substracted a star, because of two annoying things: 1) I got stuck at a scene, where I had to find a hidden place on a monitor, because I didn't click, where the game wanted me to click. I looked it up online to progress. (SPOILER: the arrow) 2) Using the scissors in another scene was bad. I had to try all kinds of ways to make a successful snip (of which you have to make multiple in different places). Very frustrating. I recommend this game for story and art. Big Plus: You can pet the Lomri when it follows you around for a bit. Little tip: If you can't find the right universe for a customer, you can leave the stall and the customer will leave.
