Different Type of Tower Defense
Unholy Heights is a game where you rent out apartments to strange and evil monsters. This warrants the attention of various good-natured people who come to destroy your building and all the unholiness that resides in it. When that happens you have to decide who comes out first to defend. The battles are all done in single file line; so you want to have a melee first, then a ranged, and perhaps a caster bringing up the rear. There are also quests that you can do for more gold that you use to improve or expand your apartments with. Gameplay: The game is very basic. There is very little visual representation of the hard earned money you spend on your apartments. I was expecting more depth to in the management side, but there is only the bare basics. The battles themselves are slow. Once you've brought our your denizens you basically just watch to see if they survive. Graphics - Indy to the core. Nothing here will wow you. The style is semi-cutesy. Overall - Overall this isn't a bad game. I didn't run into any bugs and everything feels fairly balanced. None of the mechanics were broken or overpowered. However, I just kept getting bored while playing. There's just not nearly enough depth here to keep you for more than an hour and that's stretching it. If you want a single file monster filled tower defense game then this is the only one I know of. If you're thinking like I was and this game was a lighthearted management sim with some combat included, then look elsewhere.
