Unforeseen Incidents

This, legitimately, is a good game and I’m glad I bought it. The game is so well scripted and was obviously created with care. Great story, nice puzzles, overall success. A modern point and click game this wholesome is a rarity.

Pretty decent old school adventure. Riddles are all pretty well designed, not too obvious, but always with a logical solution. Also no unfair or absurd riddles, which was really nice. The complete artwork is beautiful, the characters are well written und the audio and voice acting were overall good and the story was interesing (and finally they came up with a fresh story line, combined with interesting new locations) If you´re looking for a good point and click adventure just buy this game. Don´t wait for a sale. Totally worth the full price.

I'm currently in Chapter 3 and there is this ridiculously difficult puzzle which ended up with me nearly throwing my computer out of the window. The good: - Excellent voice acting - Interesting story The bad: - Impossible to progress without looking at a cheat guide, game is too difficult and part of the fun of point and click games is to find out the answer yoursellf - Ridiculous puzzles, all I can say is that the developer is a sadomasicist to implent such hellish nightmare puzzles. The only way to enjoy the game is to use a strategy guide, and even then, it will take you alot of time to solve these hard puzzles. If I could make a suggestion, ditch these stupid puzzles. The game is great, but these puzzles make the game not so much fun.

I've grown up playing the classics like King's Quest and Space Quest and enjoyed more recent entries to point and click games like Machinarium and the excellent Primordia. This game is simply excellent. The art really creates great scenes for the game and doesn't interfere with searching the screen for interactions. The puzzles are fun and solved intuitively without being frustrating. The achievements are pretty fun to go after as well as you can solve the same puzzles doing minor things differently to unlock them. The humor in this game is great, kinda dad joke like and I love it. If you're looking for a modern point and click game that really stands out this game is worth it.

This game had so much potential. I really loved the art style, the voice acting, and the overall setting from the start. But after the first chapter I slowly became less and less impressed with the writing and the puzzles of this game. There really isn't a single head scratcher in this game, making the puzzles more of a chore than anything else. The story starts strong but it never really peaks at all; nothing ever really pulls you in or emotionally affects you. This is largely because the game doesn't do that great of a job of actually making you care about any of the characters involved, besides the fact that the way the plot unfolds itself quickly devolves into a fairly predictable and unexciting "save the world" cliche. You know, I usually don't even mind that kind of story, but the way Unforeseen Incidents handles it is very bland. The good parts of the game are the fun little references showered about in the game, some of the dialogue options, and the overall personality of the main character. There were quite a few times that the MC's dialogue was genuinely funny, and it's a real shame that the game did not capitalize on this character beyond that (just vague and insignificant references to his past that mean little beyond maybe insinuating why he's a 20-something with no direction in life). Grab it on sale, otherwise give this mediocre PnC a pass.
