Turok

I first bought this game for PC, way back when it came out. I also own the PC version of Turok 2. Turok 2 is, in some ways, a better game, but I've always enjoyed the controls in Turok 1, better. Being that I still own these games, and, they still work in every operating system, I can't justify the giant price for just Turok 1. Now, offer Turok 2 so we can mp (Yes, Turok 2 features multiplayer, as you'll recall! The maps are pretty good, too.), and it will have value.

Yes, at £13.29 in UK money, this is greatly overpriced. Looking at the supplied screenshots, the enhancements to the GFX do not appear to be any better than the '97 original IMO! Typical NightDive studios. Though I can thank them for resurrecting a few really old titles I love, such as "Terra Nova", in the main "NightDive" are bunch of crooks - reanimating the worst rotting corpses from the deepest sewers of the abandonware scene and asking for vastly corpse methane bloated prices! Seeing as this is a newly written "enchanced (allegedly)" version, I would also hazard a guess that the original is basic version is still FREE ABANDONWARE on many abandonware sites. So the crappy one-star is for this rip-off of an price, not the game itself, even so, that would only get 3-stars, as I never considered "Turok" as an all-time great, it was a rather mediocre, repetitive and sometimes downright tedious title. It's only salvations were Turok himself, dude he'd make Duke Nukem into Duke Wet'em and the weapons were just OMG..... (until Turok 2 eclipsed them!)

Come on! It's Turok! Do you really need to read useless 5 star GOG reviews like this one which were written moments after release indicating there is no possible way I could have played this version before writing this? Of course not! You know what this or you wouldn't be here. Just do it! Revel in the carnage! Enjoy the compatibility thanks to the engine update. Feast on T-Rex cutlets! There is a prehistoric world waiting to be saved. You own this now that you know about it. Get going and start killing and don't stop until the dinosaurs are extinct!

I love this game. For nostalgia reasons, mainly. But really!? This price? I'd rather unbury my N64, this is kinda outrageous, guys. It's a plain port, perfectly identical to the 1997 one.

I have not bought this product but i have played it on emulators too pricey for an old game that is not even remastered. Why would you buy it even though you can play it for free on emulators. It is a nice game but could make more money if it was remade.
