Description
Turmoil offers players a visually charming, tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America. Get a taste of the rush and rivalry of the time as you earn your way to become a successful oil entrepreneur. As you make money digging up and selling oil, the town will grow along with you.

Lease land at the town auction and search for oil. Build a rig, create an efficient pipe network and bring up the oil to store it in silos. Sell the oil at the best times to maximize profits. Then buy essential upgrades in town to cope with rock, gas and ice. Acquire more town shares than your competitors in a bid to become the new mayor.
  • A campaign where you build your rags-to-riches oil baron career and beat your rivals.
  • Dozens of upgrades and new tools to improve your oil mining operations.
  • Lease land at the town auction and search for oil using a dowser, mole or scanner.

Even with the upgrades and competition, Turmoil is the epitome of simplicity. It is more about betting against oneself when drilling, playing an extremely simple market, and exploiting upgrades for the most gain. There is some tough competition to out-earn and that’s fun. Still, it’s more of an amusing diversion to relax with. It’s not tense nor particularly challenging, but it doesn’t have to be. I haven’t yet felt like declaring I’m finished with Turmoil.

Turmoil plays like a casual game, but as you go along you quickly see that a lot of thought was put into it by people who really like to make games. I found it exciting and fun and just hard enough to keep me interested. If you like games that force you to put some effort in to them, I highly recommend getting it off Steam.

undefined.Turmoil is a satisfying experience, much like getting your house cleaned up feels good at the end of the day. Being able to discover all of the oil, drill for it, and then sell it feels great, but unless you're good with basically doing just that for a while, the tedious loop and lack of interesting upgrades will keep you from feeling like this was anything but an okay experience, even if you're really into management sims.

A very good casual game!

I've already played it on my phone but I think it's better on the PC. I really like the graphics, even if they are very simple. The game itself is great for relaxing... just play and watch YouTube on the side. But it's also exciting enough to be interesting if you concentrate 100% on it. I've played 6 hours so far and I'm not even halfway through the campaign. Well, and I haven't even played the DLC yet. No bugs, no crashes, it runs flawlessly, I hope you have as much fun with it as I did. ^^ Have a nice day who ever is reading this. :)

Cool Little Game

Don't Expect too much. I have fun with it - but TURMOIL doesn't seam to be fitted for long play sessions. The Artstyle of this game is realy nice.

I still to have to git good at the latest stage of game. The others are using gas as if it wouldn't be a problem. I can't compete.
