Not what I expected (in a bad way)
I had heard extremely high praise of this game and saw it, when it was released, in many top 10s. Given I'm a big Zelda fan and that the actual series abandoned its formula to pursue the open world sandbox cliche, I was eager to see if there were any replacements. Tunic sounded, on paper, interesting. Then I fired it up and found that it has very little Zelda in it and way too much Dark Souls. But nothing could prepare me for how the game lock most of the plot and vital gameplay mechanics (such as the ITEM DESCRIPTIONS) behind not one but many made-up cipher languages. And no, there is nothing in-game that actually decipher them. You're expected to actually bash your head trying to figure out how they work. Needless to say, I was not exactly impressed and rather profoundly disappointed.

Worst game control experience ever!
Tunic is the most unforgiving game i've played so for, and mostly because of the horrible keyboard controls. In short; If you want to play this game with keybord; forget it and move on.. So, Tunic.. Clearly Tunic is inspired by Zelda and that shows in a few ways, however. I am not getting that "Zelda" fibe with this game. (personally I don't want to compare Tunic with Zelda, as Zelda is in every way beter, and a different game in so many ways). So, what is Tunic? Well, Tunic is a game with no real story to tell; you adventure in a semi open world and discover everything yourself. You'll find gear to help you fight foos, potions to heal your wounds and keys to unlock doors. Tunic can be frustrating at points, especialy if you use hidden passageways to bypass area's you kind of need to visit first(?). So, yes in short: it is an "zelda-ish" adventure game. But be aware! The only way I can recommand this game is by playing this with a controller, and do not compare Tunic with Zelda! If you cannot, skip this game. (seriously!)

Achievements missing on GoG, lazy DEV
Lazy developer did not bother to add Achievements on GoG, don't reward laziness.

Great Game / Terrible Publisher.
Tunic's amazing - it's an essential homage to gaming in general, clearly crafted with love and nostalgia. But the toxic cesspit of a publisher, Finji, makes Blizzard leadership look appealing. Shame.
