Obstacles lurk on around every corner, whether it’s militant revolutionaries bent on installing a communist junta, or the machinations of the superpowers USA and the Soviet Union, both of whom would like to see a more amenable ruler in strategically important Tropico!

Doesn't tell you what to build, doesn't screw you over making you do stuff or else your mandate is gonna ran out and you lose everything. No stupid quick build or moving buildings and other quality of life that shouldn't be there. Best of all iterations

Enjoyable

Overall the game is enjoyable. There is quite a bit of humour throughout the game from the radio broadcasts and the simulated people. The campaign missions are interesting and each has a unique angle. Unfortunately it can be a bit slow and repetitive at times. The messages on the radio are interesting at first but after you hear the same "report" after you do the same action in multiple games it loses some of its humour. I found it quite slow because I always seemed to be waiting for the influx of money to fund my island.

Go to Tropico 4.

After being spoilt by the glory of Tropico 4 I found this game to be lacking. The buildings sit wrong and appear partially submerged, and the voice acting is painful to hear. I lasted about an hour or so on this game before uninstalling it, then I replayed Tropico 4.
