Casual game for the working man

If you want to relax after a hard day's work this is the right game. It has beautiful landscapes and a working mechanism that is stunningly awesome. At no time did I ever felt like the game was hard but at the same time it was not too easy either. It had the right balance as to make you go farther down the levels and with a system that was neatly arranged so that you won't get frustrated. What I really liked about the game though and it really did shine is the music. The music throughout the game was one of the best pieces of soundtrack that I've heard in a game without becoming boring. I highly recommend this game to anyone who doesn't play hardcore and wants to enjoy some of his time with a casual game by relaxing and being soothed out by the music and the landscapes.

Enchanted Edition

This game is great, but now I am truly impressed. When I saw there was now an enhanced version I thought "Great. Another ripoff for some graphic and gameplay tweaks..." And then I read they're actually upgrading the game for everyone who bought it, free of charge. This kind of treatment alone speaks highly of those devs for me.

Almost Perfect

I like this game. I've actually bought it twice. I bought it on the PS3 and now again on GOG. I prefer the GOG version because I've been able to mod it so that there is no hud. See the forum for the guide on how to remove it. If that option were included with the game, it would get a 5/5. That being said, it's still a great game. It has beautiful graphics (I like them more than Trine 2 actually), good audio, and a spectacular soundtrack. It's worth buying just for that. I have wanted a 2d sidescroller with a good physics engine for 15 years. This along with Shadow Complex makes that a reality. There are a few ways to approach situations in the game, but for the most part one of the characters will be clearly better for each task than the others. My only gripe is that the wizard can't really fight. The wizard should be able to shoot a fireball or something. He can draw a box in the air that falls on enemies, but that's difficult in the heat of battle.

Addicting one.

At first I thought it just looked good, but after playing it, I really enjoyed it. The three characters that you can use in the adventure have very particular styles that fit perfectly in the team composition, even if the magician is kind of useless in fights. Give this game a try. It's worth it.

Really, really good Indie platformer

Simply said Trine is amazing game, part platformer, part puzzle game with some light RPG elements. Trine is fairytale with gorgeous visuals where you play with 3 different characters, each with unique skills needed to progress further. Enhanced Edition is so much better then original game. Supports higher HD resolutions, looks really pretty and much easier. They added checkpoints to save your progress, but also they revive your fallen heroes too. Levels are well designed with good visuals but they are simple and short. First 3 levels are made very easy to get you familiar with the controls and your heroes, then they become much harder and bigger with more dangerous obstacles. Narration before each level is very good, reading you few pages from a bigger book. Voice is nice and smooth like it is ment for little kids. Soundtrack is good too, easy gets in your head specially if you are playing for few hours, music stays in your head for hours :) Trine is unique game, give it a try, if you like first game try other game in the series, you won`t regret it.
