Description

Toziuha Night is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer with features of a metroidvania RPG. Travel through different non-linear maps set in a dark fantasy world; such as a gloomy forest, demon-infested dungeons, a ruined village and more!  
 


Play as Xandria, a beautiful and skilled alchemist who, using an iron whip, fights against the most fearsome demons and other alchemists seeking to obtain a millenary power. To accomplish her mission, Xandria will use various chemical elements to perform powerful attacks and spells. 
 

 

 

  • Original symphonic music. 
  • Retro pixelart style as a tribute to 32-bit consoles. 
  • Test your skills by fighting final bosses and various enemies. 
  • Explore new areas of the map using different skills and improving your stats. 
  • Play without internet connection (offline game). 
  • Anime and Gothic style characters. 
  • This is a metroidvania style game where you don't need to farm. 
  • Compatible with gamepads. (even generic gamepads with an extra configuration) 
  • Combine iron with other chemical elements to create alloys with different playable properties. 
  • Open source videogame made with open source engine (Godot Engine).
  • A map with a minimum of 7 hours of gameplay. 
  • Any player will be able to design their own map, other players will be able to download it and play (through Mod support). 
  • More playable characters with different gameplay mechanics.

EXCELLENT INDIE METROIDVANIA

Excellent indie metroidvania with strong Castlevania inspiration. Toziuha Night: Order of the Alchemists delivers intense 2D action, immersive gothic atmosphere, and rewarding progression. The art is beautiful, the soundtrack captivating, and the enemies are challenging. A solid evolution from the previous title, now with open-world exploration and more freedom. A great pick for fans of the genre!

A great Metroidvania

This is a solid Metroidvania capturing the classic gameplay and difficulty. Exploration is very well done giving plenty of visual ques indicating areas you can come back to with worthwhile rewards for your work. Challenging gameplay but controls are responsive so deaths don't feel cheap. The pixel art is very well done with plenty of animations and reactions to hits and attacks. One of the best you can find on GOG, enjoying it even more than Bloodstained.

First Impressions are (very) good

This is an oldschool 2d action-adventure game heavily inspired by Castlevania titles. Or at least that is my impression as someone who oly ever saw some snippets of Castlevania gameplay on YT. As for this one, I've gotten through the Prologue (which somehwat feels like a Demo part of the full game) and It feels great. The music is quite catchy and I really like the artstyle. Sure it is relatively low-resolution pixel art but it looks good. The combat feels snappy for the most part and i quite like the animations... but sometimes it feels a little off, I can't put my finger on why, though. The fact that the dodge is a backflip exclusively bothers me a little as well, but that's more or less me being used to dodge being directional. Also: bonus points for that Godot splash screen. (Consider this a first impresion review, Once I finish the game I'll update this, and post a full review on my blog)

pretty much the title. if you're at all a fan of Castlevania games, ESPECIALLY Aria of Sorrow or Order of Ecclesia - BUY THIS GAME NOW. you can thank me later. superb pixel art, a good story, fantastic locations, phenomenal level design and a wonderful soundtrack combine into an unabashed love letter to the classics.

I am loving this game, it's a really freaking fun Metroidvanina game and not too hard either. Though, I do wish there was more info online too look up.
