Well worth 6$ and Enjoyable!
TAK is a enjoyable RTS in my eyes. While hardcore TA fans claim it sucks. I HIGHLY enjoyed playing this RTS and its expansion when it came out. It had elements that WC2, SC and C&C didnt have which made it more unique to play. The battles were fun, races were unique. Online play was awesome till cavedog shut down. Well off to replay this. Hope its still as good as my memory of it. =)

TA Kingdoms was a stinker - avoid
I got this game on CD-ROM from a store that was giving it away free to customers buying video games. I guess it wouldn't move off the shelf any other way. Anyway, I played it extensively enough to give it a fair shake, as I often like games that others don't. I didn't like it. It sucked. The graphics were rather nice actually, but the gameplay made me wonder if it had been playtested at all. The difficulty level beyond the first few missions is staggering. The defender seems to be at a 10:1 advantage every time. That would be the biggest flaw. Eventually I gave it to my nephew as a "gift"... he's probably passed it on by now. Don't buy this title.

Amost as good as Total Annihilation
This has a little bit more 4x with the magic and explicit need to cast spells and such than TA. If you like RTS, then play this as well. This is the same people and engine as TA and thus the same ahead of it’s time features.

Love the Game - Crashes too often
