Torchlight II

It is exactly what it appears to be. Its an action RPG where you spend a lot of time shooting things, finishing off a huge amount of quests, and bulding your character. The game does all that very well.

I'm not too big on ARPGs but I do enjoy them occasionally. Tourchlight 2 is pretty light and offers a quick rewarding gameplay cycle with how fast you level up and get gear. I like to play it when I know its going to be a short gameplay session since even an hour of play can be rewarding. Its biggest flaw imo is how you can butcher a character build early on in your first playthrough, but that is fairly minor with how easy it is to progress on any playthrough. Would recommend if you are lookin for something light

First time I've encountered Diablo 20 years ago it did not really click with me, but when I discovered Torchlight II... suffice it to say I've spent over 40 hours on it and enjoyed every second, it is VERY addictive game, lots of enemies, ambience, action, random worlds, easter eggs and the ways you can play it - it is RPG after all, level/enemy design is so beautiful and distinct. I highly recommend this game!

FUN Game, with it being as simple or as in-depth as you want it to be. There are a lot of choices and nuances, however, if you care not to get that involved in details, you can still just keep playing and have fun all the same. There is a ton of loot, and your character isn't disabled from using any of it, but of course some will work better for your chosen character type, also if you fill your inventory, you can load up your pet with what you don't want and send it to town to sell everything in it's inventory. Skills and abilities can really stack if you want them to, or you can choose to be jack of all trades, and after a while (when you find scrolls) you can even add 4 extra spells to your character... I have a mage and added/found a spell to heal my party, and summon skelaton warriors to help fight. These extra spells are found/bought and used by any class, the only problem/limitation is that your limited to 4, so if you switch one out, you loose the one you replaced until you find/buy another scroll of that spell.... again, this just adds so much depth to the game if you choose to use it, but it's totally up to you. ALSO, you have a SHARED Inventory Bank/Box that is SHARED among ALL your characters, so you can put your old-but-good items that you don't need in there and can save them for any other of your characters to use. As of this writing, Dec 2024, this game is on Sale for less than $5 bucks.... you really can't go wrong picking this game up, it's fun and there's lots to explore.

I bought it on sale. For that price it's an amazing game. Only downside is that the game crashed constantly at ACT1 final boss and I couldn't continue. I found out that turning V-sync on helped and I was fine to continue to ACT2
