Nostalgic Bliss
I've been playing this series since it's release and it is one of my favorite games. It's among my top 5: Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Baldur's Gate (or any D&D-based or Forgotten Realms games), Torchlight Series (2,1,3,) and Arcanum: Of Might and Magic Obscura. As I work my life away, these games are the main staple of my R&R.

Not bad, not terrible
The game is among the good old RPG, where the lore reserved mostly for a background. The fighting system is quite ok by itself. No tricks, no intrigues. You take weapon and put it to good use. It is a game for a friday evening when you want to relax and go brainzzz.

A real classic
For me, it's the better Diablo (3) and I still love playing it. I hope that soon there will be a real successor and not follow the accident of Torchlight 3 and Torchlight Infinite, which are not worthy of the second part. Unfortunately there is no multiplayer crossplay between platforms.

Torchlight 2
It is exactly what it appears to be. Its an action RPG where you spend a lot of time shooting things, finishing off a huge amount of quests, and bulding your character. The game does all that very well.

good fun ARPG
I'm not too big on ARPGs but I do enjoy them occasionally. Tourchlight 2 is pretty light and offers a quick rewarding gameplay cycle with how fast you level up and get gear. I like to play it when I know its going to be a short gameplay session since even an hour of play can be rewarding. Its biggest flaw imo is how you can butcher a character build early on in your first playthrough, but that is fairly minor with how easy it is to progress on any playthrough. Would recommend if you are lookin for something light
