meh.
If you never played Fate and you really like the whole "explore a dungeon level and go on down to the next level ad infinitum" then this is a fine game if you get it really cheap. (of course Fate is just as good in my opinion, so I'd say purchase whichever is cheaper at the time you want to buy because they are ALMOST identical) That being said, if you like the style and the overall gameplay, but want a bigger world with a few dungeons to explore throughout and multiplayer action... then check out Torchlight 2. Once I moved up to *Torchlight 2* I never went back. And yes, I played Fate(and its many "expansions") and played Torchlight(the original)for many hours each. But seriously, if I'm ever feeling nostalgic for that whole roguelike gaming action I'll probably just download Moria in all it's ASCII glory. ;) Of course neither Fate or Torchlight 2 are available here on GOG so... maybe if it's cheap and you want a sample taste of what is available in Torchlight's big brother then by all means support GOG.com. :)
