Toonstruck

This is my first review and I just realy felt like typing this lines from the bottom of my heart. I just finished this game with the special cover that somehow hides whats realy inside of it! This game is a classic, 90s style, handdrawn, lovely interactive cartoon and NOTHING less! More of, this game made me constantly giggle and laugh at all the slapstick cartoon jokes and the surprisingly adult allusions it provides! If you´re a 90s kid who enjoyed the old fox kids cartoons, which are sadly barely reached by cartoon nowadays (with some exceptions) you will simply feel warped back in time! I even drawn some fanart of the characters of this game! Actually some scenes could be too adult for kids to watch (no kidding there!). The games presentation is beyond any puzzle game I´ve ever played, and please do understand me, I´ve played ALOT click´and´point adventures! One thing is, that this game provides no helping-system like most adventure-games do nowadays, so you´ll most likely find yourself getting stuck because you miss some item of which you didn´t take notice yet. This is nothing I´d ever upvote ever! This is simply how adventures where back than, and theres nothing wrong with it! The puzzles are not too difficult, neither frustrating. There are no walk-back-and-forth kind of puzzles. They are more likely very clever. If you watched the 90s cartoons, you´ll have a big advantage in solving them, since they just as slap-sticky than the game itself. So you´d need to think like a toon to solve them. ;P With an overall play-time of about 15-20h you´ll get a well rounded, interactive cartoon that could even make you giggle as much as it did for me! Ps: Hands down for that lovely animated sequences. pure eye-sugar!

There is a handful of games out there which are so original nothing compares. You cant ask for a comparison to Toonstruck as there is no such thing! I would compare this game to receiving a hand-job from Sasha Gray... so good you will complete it multiple times! I first played this game as a 8 year old with my mum and brother... we got stuck on the puzzles so many times that we called the helpline at least once a day... noobs! and since that moment my love of videos games came in and hit me like a brick wall. This is the first review i have wrote about a game... this is coming from a loud mouthed English man... but the sounds, voice acting, game play and pure bliss told me to do so. If you were to buy one game today... make it this... spread the word and hopefully we can get a sequel.

The story is amazing, don't be fooled by this cartoon style graphics, this game is definitely for adults. Sense of humor is really intelligent and will make you lough again and again. Variety of puzzles - some are quite easy but some are really... surprising :) This game has incredible atmosphere - so different in the first and second half of the game. I played many adventure titles in my life, but this game IS special - a definite must have :)

You know when you build something up in your head and revisit it years later, only to be let down? Well that didn't happen! Toonstruck was just as fun as I remember it! The all-star cast is excellent. This is a must play for any adventure gamer. Ranks right up there with Grim Fandango.

What i enjoyed: The graphics, the animations, most of the puzzles and puzzle design (generally the puzzles are nicely integrated, imaginative and not illogical); christopher Lloyd's performance (just love this guy!). What i didn't enjoy so much: The humor sometimes seems inconsistent with the setting as it is focused on sexual innuendos, mainly by Flux Wildly (definitely an adult game). The music score was not so original, although i enjoyed the Nefarious Castle's music; sweet and cute stories are not my cup of tea also. Overall, a great effort which is enjoyable to experience, recommended to all adventure players.
