Weak game grabbing low hanging fruit
Political content aside, the gameplay is just mindless and boring. There's very little in the way of good game mechanics, any sort of strategy or even colorful, entertaining beat downs. It only gets away with it because it's dressed up in controversial material. If the game was identical but used a different skin (such as "Baldies" vs "Hairies") it would be left to the dustbin of unknown games, since there are much better Beat em up/Hack 'n slash games out there. Basically If you are the type to get gleeful from sticking a rich persons picture onto a punching bag then this is your game. But If that strikes you as insipid, then pass.

Meh
So, I really don't get the "One Star, it's communism, Mueriaaa FTW" reviews. But the game itself is just not really good. For just that reason it gets just two stars.

Lacks any depth
There is no story. There is no shop. I don't even know based on what you get the 1-3 stars for the levels. On the other hand it functions. So, that's a plus, or something.

As subtle as it needs to be
Alright, so first of all: The game isn't subtle. But then why would it be, reality isn't very subtle either. It quite obviously pokes fun at capitalist and totalitarian themes by exaggerating them to cartoon-levels. Most importantly, as the game proudly mentions, it is developed by a worker-owned studio, which is commendable in itself. And the theme of supporting workers rights shouldn't be controversial to any reasonable adult human beings, one would hope. Anyway, when it comes down to it it's a straight-forward brawler with fun core gameplay (if "fun" is the right word considering the subject). And the soundtrack is quite banging as well, so there's that.
