Pros: Consistent art style with good graphics and animations Fast-paced, snappy combat Good weapon- and build-variety Great bosses and lots of decent mini-boss encounters Mid: Relatively small stages made to feel bigger by winding paths, but with nice shortcuts Not much in terms of common enemy variety, with most of them being just humans with different weapons Cons: Short, and relies on reusing stages for side-missions, which can feel like padding by the end Middling lore, with no characterization for any of the NPCs Overall, this is a pretty good, bite-sized game, combining the fast, aggressive combat style of Bloodborne with the parry-mechanics of Sekiro. It has its small issues, and the endings are a bit meh, but overall I would definitely recommend it if you're a fan of the genre, though you may want to wait for a sale to get the best bang for your buck.

I have to say, It is good for a souls-like game I've played and loved every minute of it. The game gives you the infinite stamina and combos but at the cost of no 100% blocking shield and instead emphesizes on dodging and parrying. You only have a single weapon but will get abilities along the way. Bosses and enemy placement don't feel like bullshit and rage quit inducing as these game tend to be, but like the other decent souls-like, you can push through with enough patience. Story wise I appreciate the grim-dark setting of dealing with a plague and you get to be a witch-doctor recalling what he did. Thankfully I have not encountered any glitches from the beginning to the end. 10/10 would recommend if you like these types of game and the setting.

I love challenging games, I love soul-like games, I love Sekiro, BUT this game is just insane. This game has an insane FOV. There is an insane amount of bloom in this game. The parry timings are absolutely insane. As a result, the game is insanely difficult and insanely unplayable for me.

What it lacks in level design it makes up for with great combat, presentation and bosses.

A major turn-off for me is the "new gameplay feature" of refilling health bars (of course only for the enemy), so killing things takes extra long, because you first have to injure the creature (white health bar) then kill it (underlying green health bar) within a certain amount of time or it fills right bakc up. Of course the mechanic carries over to the bosses. The first boss gets ANOTHER REFILL once you kill him, so you basically get to do the same fight over again - kinda like in Sekiro. It was bad in that game, it's bad here. I'm just waiting for a "Soulslike" to bring in the 100 health bars for you to whittle down in 2 hours and call it extra challenge. No, just lazy.
