Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

Game is little boring at the start, but if you will somehow go through few hours of it, the story will hook you up, at least it was the case for me. Also +1 for very well made art style. There are some ways you can build your own army. Some fights even forces you to build specialized deck to beat the encounter. I must say, some puzzles were very clever, but in the end the game wasn't very hard (I played on highest difficulty). The only complain I have is performance in some Nilfgaard fights. The code for AI is not optimized at all, and the time it takes AI to calculate it's move is attricious sometimes. Very surprised that CD Projekt Red let it in this state. Very unprofessional.

I am amazed how CD Projekt RED made this game. I love the story, quests and puzzles. I was afraid it will be filled with normal battles but luckily there are tons of custom tailored battles. There is always something new and you can't be bored. Worth to mention - it is a loong game. Longer than I expected. It deserves full price to pay. Worth any penny. Good job CD Projekt RED!

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, is, in the truest sense of game design and its genre, a masterpiece. It brilliantly blends Gwent, the card game, with an exceptionally well-written, sensitive, tonally superb narrative adventure; the characters thrum with texture, the world map is beautiful to behold, and the choices claw at your conscience. This is a rare gem, and an exquisite one. It's story sits with me still. It is a masterpiece - I hope we see its like again.

Absolutely fantastic story. The characters and the plot were written by someone who truly understands and loves the Witcher universe. I also enjoyed the many creative non standard battle/puzzle scenarios the game offered. The only blemish would be the somewhat repetitive nature of the near excessive standard battles which at times felt like filler obstacles preventing you from advancing the story. I enjoyed the game and if CD Projekt Red can further develop camp upgrades and keep standard battles interesting then the next game in the series is sure to be a triumph. Recommend!

Just...wow. I've finally gotten around to finishing campaign and with 49 hours sunk into the game I am most impressed. Story is nothing short of amazing, Meve is a lioness of a character. Gameplay is ok, from time to time puzzles can get tedious. I loved building the camp and buying upgrades for the army. Every bought upgrade is reflected in the artwork in your camp, which is a nice touch. Artwork in general is very nice and well designed. I totally recommend this game if you are looking for story driven experience. I'd love to see a sequel to this, maybe this time showing the other side, Nilfgard in it's early years.
