Could have been better..
Too many puzzles take fun away, for me at least. I dont plan on playing multiplayer card game, and dont like to see them drop while I am playing single player. Perhaps one day I come back to it, for now it only get 2 stars, for good voice acting, story, effort devs put in.

Not so bad
The idea is good but the game is... too long for this idea:-). All these battles become boring somewhere to the end of Mahakam episode.

Great story, very poor gameplay
I want to like Thronebreaker because the story is truely great, but it has some absolutely awful gameplay design. Consequences are only consequences because there is only one save file, and my experience with the game suggests to me that this was done to try add some replayablilty to Thronebreaker's campaign. If you are familiar with CCGs like Hearthstone and you are anything like me you would expect this game to be similar. Thronebreaker is simlar to Hearthstone, however Thronebreaker mixes things up by changing cards you are familiar with every now and again to something totally different and afer a while this becomes annoying. If you are interested in this game I urge you to look at gameplay videos of the Rivia Castle battle - cheap cheesy boss mechanics that require the player to use cheap cheesy tactics to compete. If I would have watched video of this battle before buying the game I'm not sure i would have still bought this game.... I passed my last round and went and made a sandwich and a drink came back to the game and the boss was still playing cards - so tedious and boring imo.

surprisingly better
i never played gwent outside the witcher 3 game but this is much more than just gwent the RPG element is amazing i have but one request after these amazing experiences...please buy the Dragon Age Franchise from EA i beg you

Not a bad game, but badly misnomered
I'll be honest with you - I kind of enjoyed this game. But what's important is why I enjoyed it, and the reason is: I like Gwent, and this game mostly consists of the same Gwent experience. However, it's not sold as a Gwent expansion in store, but rather as an "New RPG from the same people who made The Witcher". I understand marketing purposes but it's NOT and RPG. It has next to no RPG elements, and, in fact, everything about this game that's not about Gwent is close to abysmal. Overworld map is boring, upgrades are lazily designed, dialogue is, while abundant, really watered down. The change of character animations with the "darkening" going upwards looks so horrible that I honestly expected it to be changed by release when I saw the trailer. The Gwent in this game is good and that's what makes it good. But unless you like Gwent - beware this game and beware insincere reviews.
