Thief™ Gold

I am thrilled to see that this has finally made it to GOG! This is stealth classic! This is a slow paced, lean around corners, creep through the shadows game. It is best played on the hardest setting for the most intense challenge. Patience and timing are rewarded. A truly excellent title, one of my top 10 all-time favourites!

Ahh the atmosphere...This is a wonderful game for the thinking game player. So many secrets to be found in very cleverly designed levels. This is truly a classic game not to be missed. It's not a full on actuion game like Quake3 arena but the environment and ambience make you want to come back for more. I truly home that Thief 2 & 3 will be added to GOG soon.

This is one of my all-time favorites... The art design... The bizarre, eerie, lore-filled, terrifying, enveloping WORLD...Whole religions created, skeptics, drunkards, sinister magical creatures that may or may not be devils... Endless mysteries full of details that may or may not be relevant... The tight, intense gameplay... The three challening difficulty levels, with the hardest one being No Harm to Anyone... And finally. The SOUND, good GODS, the SOUND in this game is so perfect.. Holy @#% this is the best game ever. Everything just ROCKS! Just seeing the logo makes me feel 12 years old again. LOVE IT!

I first played this game 8 years ago. This still is without a question, my favorite game I've ever played. It really never gets old

A game where you have to think? A game that requires you to take your time and analyze situations? A game that doesn't allow you to press a button, and get a lighted path showing you where to go (i.e., Dead Space)? A game where you DON'T get to carry 72 weapons, and basically unlimited ammo? A game where stealth is the only way to win? I first played Thief 10 years ago, when the Xbox was young and stupid. The Xbox is still stupid. I'm still playing this game. Thief forever. GOG, PLEASE GIVE ME SYSTEM SHOCK 2 as well.
