There Is No Game : Wrong Dimension

If more point and click games were this well written and produced I would buy more of them. The game is very entertaining to play with a few hiccups here and there. I would say my favorite part about it is how it uses unorthodox puzzles throughout. The hiccups I mentioned are that some of the puzzles feel a bit hard to solve, but I think that's down to me, all of the puzzles use a kind of comedic moon logic to them and the hint system will just tell you the solution if you go out of your way to ask it to. The other hiccup is that this is a point and click adventure game that requires what Ross's Game Dungeon calls "arcade reflexes", that's a bit of a problem because it narrows the scope of who would get this game and cuts out some people who like adventure games but I would say overall the game is worth it. Overall a very charming and very well written point and click, I enjoyed it a lot and I could see coming back to beat it again in a year or two.

This is an entertaining little point-n-click experience with a lot of referential humour, which means you'll probably need knowledge and appreciation of the history of gaming and aged pop culture to get all the jokes. The puzzles are at times clever, rarely too hard or too moon logic-y (Once you get over the fact that most puzzles are solved by means other than the expected, I mean, you start off breaking bits off the UI to make your own fun, and you rarely interact in the "intended" way) Clocking in at around 5 hours for my first playthrough, it's a shorter experience but one I quite enjoyed and will probably return to occasionally.

It's so entertaining and funny, and so much different from all the other games out there, that I would give it 5 stars without hesitation if it wasn't for 2 small things: - while in most chapters there is a lot for the player to do, the closing chapters are more just watching how the story unfolds, and honestly it could have been made a bit more appealing; the final chapters just feel lower quality than the rest of the game (uhm... NO game), - for a game that relies heavily on spoken text, jokes and puns, it could use translations to more languages; as my kids were playing it, I needed to sit with them all the time and translate, as they wouldn't be able to solve some of the riddles otherwise. Overall I'd prefer to rate it 9/10, but having to choose between 4 and 5 start, it gets a 5.

I was expecting everything, but I've not been prepared of what an emotional journey this is going to be. And it just has one of the best ingame songs of all times. This game is truly a masterpiece and belongs in every gamers library.

I absolutely loved that game (or non-game) ! It's a love letter to old point and click game of the lucasarts era and the puzzle are very clever ! It's also funny as hell ! A must play !
