The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

First, let me just say to anyone who hasn’t played this yet that this game is LONG. Even if you only play through the main quest, it’s gonna take quite a bit of time to get through. I won’t give away any spoilers, but I got to one point thinking I was near the end when I was actually only about two-thirds through! This game does have quite a bit of interesting quests and side stories, but you’ll have to muscle your way through a lot of repetition and backtracking in between. On a somewhat related note, the world does feel pretty big. However, the available fast travel system leaves something to be desired. Some fast travel points are so far apart you have to decide if it’s faster to get to them and wait for the next area to load, or just run your horse there. Overall, it’s a decent game. Some of the stories and characters you come across make it well worth it.

I loved this game, had over 200 hours on it. I wanted to play this month, i dont uderstand why i need another laucher when i alredy bought your game GOG that you own. Game is now unplayable, huge time key response delay, geralt just keeps running even when key is not pressed, cannot loot anything. just pure shame.

Die Performance ist seitdem absolut unterirdisch, das Spiel läuft mit DLSS an und niedrigeren Grafikeinstellungen als zuvor trotzdem schlechter als vorher, und da gab es kein DLSS. Das Spiel stürzt seitdem auch ständig ab. Wenn ich versuche einen Spielstand zu laden, brauche ich erst mal 3 (ca.) Versuche, bei denen das Spiel im Ladebildschirm abstürzt. Außerdem stürzt es auch manchmal während des Spielens ab, ohne ersichtlichen Grund. Schade, denn ansonsten ist es das beste Spiel, das ich je gespielt habe. Das bringt mir aber nichts, wenn ich vor lauter Crashes gar nicht mehr zum Spielen komme und mein eher guter PC, der das Spiel vorher mit höchsten Einstellungen problemlos ruckelfrei gepackt hat, jetzt kaum mehr 50 fps (mit DLSS aktiviert!) hinbekommt. Da es trotzdem ein Meisterwerk von einem Spiel ist, gibt es sogar noch drei Sterne. Unfortunately literally unplayable since the last updates. The performance has been absolutely nasty since then, the game runs worse than before, with DLSS on and lower graphics settings than before, and there was no DLSS before. The game also crashes constantly now. When I try to load a savegame, it takes like 3 attempts with the game crashing in the loading screen before it actually loads. It also sometimes crashes while I'm playing for no apparent reason. It's a shame, because otherwise it's the best game I've ever played. But that doesn't matter if I can't play because of all the crashes. My rather good PC, which previously ran the game smoothly at the highest settings, can now barely manage 50 fps (with DLSS activated!). Since it's still a masterpiece of a game, I'll even give it three stars.

I know, I'm quite late to the party, but it's still an amazing experience, through and through! Part of the reason it took me so long was that I only started with the series quite late and to be honest, the first game really isn't the best. Then again it was a while until I played the second, which was a lot better, but at the time I didn't really have the time (or hardware) to play the third, so I waited again... and wow, was it worth it! I probably can't say much that hasn't been said already about it. I played the "Classic" version to get the original experience, and I honestly can't imagine the "Next Gen" version looking much better. The world is the most detailed and beautiful I have ever seen in a game and there is so much to discover, so much to do. The writing is excellent and even small quests sometimes have unexpected outcomes or twists (which is something I already enjoyed a lot about the second game). The main quest is a bit slow to get going (though the early parts are not boring - in fact the story of the Baron in Velen was among the best in the entire game), but I was surprised to learn how many different endings there are and which decisions had an influence on it. And then, the excellent "Blood and Wine" expansion, which is basically a game in itself, does it again. The only "bad" thing about it is that by the time you get to it (if you finish the main game and "Hearts of Stone" first), you don't really need most of the gear and other gadgets you find in it. But it's all great nonetheless. It's less of a sandbox than other open world games, but given the incredibly cinematic presentation of in-game cutscenes for even the smallest side quests, and the superb writing, this is more than fine (and there still is more than enough to discover off the beaten path - though the amount of smuggler caches in Skellige is a bit insane and wouldn't recommend trying to find all of them). If you are only slightly interested in RPGs, play it!

Ever since this graced my hands on the PS4, I have sunk a disturbing amount of hours into travelling around completing endless side quests for no other reason than, I just LOVE it. The atmosphere, the music, the voice acting....everything is just so good. I've bought the game on PS4, GoG, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and very recently Steam. Steam purchase was for no other reason but to give CDPR some more money, since I know I can play games from GoG on my SteamDeck... I just didn't want to do that. Anyway, I'm anxiously awaiting the next Witcher game, and I hope it runs great on my SteamDeck too!
