The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

I'd looked forward to this game so much, having thoroughly enjoyed it's predecessors. Witcher 2 did become too difficult and time consuming for me to have completed yet, but was still a lot of fun to play. I have had Witcher 3 for almost a year now, and haven't managed to get through the "tutorial" section on the easiest difficulty setting! Which *isn't* fun, at all. I initially waited in purchasing, in the hope of a Linux version, which would negate me having to boot into my least preferred OS. That never came, and I honestly don't think the game is meant to be played without a controller, which I can't get any hand-to-eye co-ordination with, so don't poses. Obviously, I'm a Linux user, so I don't care about flashy graphics, so much as I care about good story and solid keyboard / pointer controls. (I like Dwarf Fortress) The tutorial stumped me for a week, the first time around, asking me to press "p". (specifically, lower-case "p", when all other suggestions were upper case) The "P" key did nothing. Giving up as to why nothing was happening and checking what "p" was mapped to in the controls showed that nothing was mapped to "p", upper or lower case, but a bomb should be thrown with an accented key which doesn't appear on my keyboard!!! So that didn't help at all. (layout is UK-Extended, so I have é, è, and £, but the layout is only one key more, and not much more functional than American English... You just need to know that "~" means "`", and "#" means "£") I can't make sense of the mini-map, and can't control Geralt while looking at it, and can't get my head around all the combat controls while in a combat situation. I can't control it, can't tell what I'm supposed to be doing, or why. It wasn't *that hard* in the second game, and was simplicity in the first.

Just sat through nearly four hours of dialog. I'm not doing anything - its not playing a game. The crafting is good the combat is not quite right so 80 hrs in and won't be finishing. Pity because the game is so well made. It's nearly the perfect RPG, just so dull to play.

This game is overrated

I have i9 900k, wihout video card, 323 GB RAM and 500 M2 SSD. The graphics still looks amazing. I play games for 30 years until now, I know how the games go up and down with their graphics. If you want top graphics forever, sell all your wealth for graphics accelerators. I remember when the game FEAR was out, this wanted superpower to show the graphics just like in Half-Life 2. Nobody complained. Everyone enjoyed the new game. Now, if the game no longer runs at maximum graphics on their PCs, they blame the game. If the CD Project Red put so much work into this game and you're still complaining about your fps rating, after all these new setup graphics in the game, where you can quit at many things to play faster, that's a shame. You should give up everything your PC can't do and play at a lower quality. Stardew Valley is a very good game as well. So Minecraft. I've never understood why for many gamers the graphics is everything? Who forced them to pay a fortune for a graphics card that is no longer good in a year? Stop being so childish! This game is the best RPG game until now. Now with the maximum experience of gameplay and better graphics. You have everything from the best RPG until now!! Is your graphics card no longer fast? Maybe CD Projekt Red will fix this detail or maybe you better grow up! STOP giving bad reviews to something SUPERB!

Boring game, better watch a film. One minute of gameplay for each hour of cinematic/conversation..
