MASTERPIECE in every way
Simply put? A MASTERPIECE! This game deserves ALL the praise in the world for everything it has achieved. Nr.1 RPG for me as well as being a model and a reminder to the huge companies that just piss in our eyes and expect money.

Technical masterpiece, mediocre gameplay
Disclaimer - haven't read Witcher novels yet. To keep it short, this game is technically wonderful. Graphics and sound are top notch. Gameplay is imo mediocre due to some design choices that were made during game development. I don't like combat in this game, it's like mashing one button while making dodges and using some spell from time to time. Nothing special. Plot is basically like in Mario games - your princess is in another castle Geralt! Multiply that by five or so. This game is too long - it takes about 80-100 hours to finish just the Wild Hunt! It's a huge game, but mostly repetitive imo. Addons are like most addons should be made - they add new stuff, new side quests, new plot and new locations that are all well seamed with the basic game. Hearts of Stone has well made boss fights akin to those from Dark Souls series and Blood and Wine has beautiful new area to explore but sadly lacks in plot design. Or maybe it's that I don't like choosing between shades of grey in an world where hypocrisy is the way of life. At least it's not a grimdark world. To sum it up - I won't play it again, I think that Witcher 2 was a better game when it comes to scenario and gameplay but if you haven't played Witcher 3 then definitely go for it. It's great, it's fun and it'll take you a long time to beat.

Great, but Multiple Disappointments
The Witcher 3 is a solid game. The interfaces are great. Combat is fun, and the world draws you in. Unfortunately, I encountered multiple bugs at later stages in the game that forced me to replay quests in a certain order in order to avoid being stuck in a situation through which I couldn't progress. I was also very disappointed by the conclusion of the romance that occurs given certain decisions. It felt very troll-esque and harsh.

Pretty but not very fun.
I have yet so spend more than a few hours playing this game but it seems to piss me off almost right away every time. I start the game, am awed by the great graphics then I am annoyed at the controls (PC) and find myself dying, unable to control my character or his abilities worth a damn. I've been playing video games for over 35 years and I know a fun game when I play one. This one had potential and I guess some like it, but I am glad I paid only $20. I really kind of hate it. And, I was playing it on the easiest mode with battle option. Try making an interface that isn't so convoluted and overly-sensitive. Sometimes i can't approach things well, my char turns or gets caught in some corner or falls off a slope and cannot get back up. It just goes on and on with frustrating and annoying problems with the interface and world interaction. Too many ways to get frustrated. Not my kind of game.
