This is a great game

I never played the Witcher when I should have. The first one I played quite a few years after it was launched and loved it especially for the Aurora engine that reminded me when I played Neverwinter Nights. The second one I got on a Steam sale and played through it, I liked it, especially the story and the fact that you seemed to be a part and influence the world. The Witcher 3 GOTY edition: I bought it from a colleague for the PS4, for a whole month everyday after work and in the weekend I played it and I was mesmerized. This game is amazing, I could describe the story, the visuals, the gameplay but the truth is this has to be played to understand the greatness. I'm sure that Sapkowski wrote a great series of books but it is the merger of his characters with the visuals and gameplay that made this series so good. Long story short: Sold my PS4 saw the Netflix show and bought the game again for PC as it reminded me how f****** good this game was.

One of the best RPGs in a long time..

If you love RPGs, you owe it to yourself to play this game. I have finished the main campaign and both DLCs and refuse to uninstall it, because its one of the best games that has ever graced my hard drive space. CDPR created a visual masterpiece of gameplay. I still fire this game up from time to time just to ride around the world and bask in all its glory. Stop reading this review and BUY THIS GAME!!

Majestic

This game is truly a masterpiece. I bought it day one and played without pause for the next two months, it's a work of art and a new milestone for the future games. It has a solid and well-written story, perfect characters and beautiful word, with easten europe strong vibes. The quotes from the books are perfect and help to shape a true and realistic world. There were a few bugs, but in a game so big I think it's totally understendable. Both the expansions were wonderful, expecially blood and wine, which can be considerate a new game on its own (new mechanics, new characters, new ability and a new region). All of this supported through all the 2015 and 2016, I never been so happy to buy a game and its expansions at full price, CD Projekt truly deserves all the support! P.s. I suggest to play the witcher 3 AFTER reading all the books (if you have the desire of reading them, of course!) because the game have major spoilers about the saga

Best PC game so far

So i went through the main game & HoS and then B&W, and once B&W main quest finished, i sat there staring at the screen for 15 minutes straight and after a week or so of being depressed, i think it is safe to say i can no longer enjoy another game until someone comes with something that surpasses this masterpiece. I hold no hopes that CP2077 can do it, but who knows. Thank you CDPR, i guess ?

Absolutely amazing.

I tried to play the first witcher game and couldn't get into it because of it's combat system. The witcher III, however, is absolutely amazing. The story, the combat, the graphics: I have been completely enthralled. I especially love that most of the dlc is free and only the expansions cost money. That is the way it should be and I applaud CD Projekt Red for bucking what has become the norm of charging for everything. I also love the fact that they don't use DRM. For proof of this my wife and I have bought three copies of the witcher III between the PC and X-Box One. The give me trust and I reward it. Super excited for Cyberpunk 2077!
