The boxed PC version of the game is compatible only with the Expansion Pass sold on GOG.com
This is one of my all time favourite games. I have to say congrats to the devs for creating such a unique work of art. Truly a game that will be in my memory for a long long time.
I am amazed how a little game studio could create such a masterpiece. The world is giant and beatutiful, full of locations to discover, where almost every one has its own (sometimes funny, sumetimes really upsetting) history.
The player has to make a lot of moral desicions - which may result in world structure and lives of many people. Sometimes I really was in need to stop and think what I would do in real life. On the other hand some decisions have to be made quick, which adds more stress and raises realism. Because of this I can really identify with Geralt resulting him being some kind of copy of me. That's what are *role* play games are about!
Graphics are beautiful and very adjustable. Hairs could behave quite better (cometimes they dive in body of NPCs), but it is not real problem for viewer. There are a lot of urban and wild places where I like to stop and just look at the sight.
The thing I miss in a lot of other games it naturalism - when you enter poor village instead of being kindly asked 'who are you unknown traveler?' you meet few dirty trumps saying something like 'fu*king f*ck you f*ck out f*ck aasdadqd'. But not always of course. On the other hand people of science and politics usually use polite and high level language. This makes me feel like it is real world. There I meet people that behave - as I said - natually and adequate to their situation.
Summary: I wouldn't give this game to my worst enemy. I don't want him to have this great load of fun and adventure!
I`m GONNA be Honest!!!!!!! I PIRATED the game... After playing it for 4-6 hours I fell in love and was amazed at how much hard work and details the developers put into the game. So I deleted it and bought it Legally!
That's how good this game is!
