Description
The Expansion Pass secures your access to two epic adventures set in the vibrant world of monster hunter Geralt of Rivia.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone takes Geralt on an all-new 10-hour adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine a 30-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.
The upcoming expansions will offer gamers new content, gear and foes, and will feature characters both new and dearly missed -- all crafted with maximum attention to detail and quality.
The boxed PC version of the game is compatible only with the Expansion Pass sold on GOG.com
I have work to pay for my games, can't play my games because I have work.
Screw that! I quit my job and spent my last money on Witcher 3, and guess what? I've become a monster-slayer-for-hire for a good 6 months. I've never been so eager to do work in my entire life. I also get to choose from a brunette chick and a redhead! Or both!
But someone has to start paying the bills again and good old Geralt can send no money. So I'm back to the real world.. again.
It's really a no-brainer.
Of course, the graphics are gorgeous, but it's not even close to being one of the best aspects of the game. The care that they took in making the universe feel real, in a way that lets you connect empathically with the NPCs and let your choices have depth on the world is simply incredible.
Coming from TW2, the gameplay did a huge jump forward in quality. Some minor technical issues can be mentionned, but frankly, I glided over and didn't give it a second look. The rest of the game hits you too hard.
If you're someone who enjoys intense stories, choice based game, RPGs, action games, adventures games, any of thoses, you will probably add TW3 without a second guess to your favorite games after playing it.
Trully, I don't think the game needs my review to let people know how good it is. But I feel compelled to write one if only as a way to give back a little to the developpers who brought it to us. And their attitude of "Full price should bring you full games", of adding free DLCs and a game delivering hours and hours of content (I think I spent around 9 hours, just in the tutorial area...) ... Well you want to give back. And I'm going to buy all of their DLCs as a thank you.
I for one, can't wait to see where CDprojekt is heading as a whole.
