It will last you months, yet not waste your time. Above all, it has a vivid, enduring personality, something that is exceedingly rare among its breed of mega-budget open-world epics (and that will probably be rarer still once Hideo Kojima and Konami part ways later this year). For my money, it's the greatest role-playing game in years.

Im disapointed
In short: its great tale and bad gameplay. Combat is repetitive and unrewarding, character progression is flat and uninteresting. Level scaling kills all joy of finding new gear and encountering new monsters - only the "level" maters. I'm really disappointed that such good writing (characters specially) was mixed with such mediocre game mechanics.

Stopped Being Playable
Played it for a bit on Windows 10. Then downgraded to Windows 7, and now the game always crashes at the start. Same hardware.

Really well made game, just not for me
The game is super well made but it isn't a style of rpg that really suits me. I played over 6 hours of it because of how many times that I was reassured that it is an amazing game and that I would love it, but I've found it just isn't for me. I was told that the story was amazing and keeps you enticed but after all this time I still haven't been pulled into it. The movement was horrible and combat doesn't feel very intuitive either, however not so much that it would really be a deal breaker for me. The world is huge and gorgeous but it feels really empty. I would go from one quest objective to another with nothing but fields that I saw. It didn't feel like the world was very interactive, it was kind of just there. For me, it also was hard for me to immerse myself in the story when I don't really have much say in the persona around the character that I play. I much prefer an rpg experience where I get to make the character feel a bit more me and have looks to match the type of person that I envision them as. I don't think I would recommend this game to people who have similar game tastes but I also definitely won't dissuade anyone from it either.
