5 for game, 0 for gog
I enjoyed the game on windows and now wanted to try it on ubuntu. Installation failed, didnt remove files, and i cant remove them manually now. If you want to lose couple GBs on your little drive then don't hesitate, use GOG !

Probably the best Witcher game in series
This game has the best storytelling in the whole series. Action is well paced, plot is mostly about politics and why it's better to evade them (although sometimes it's impossible). Combat is mostly action oriented and it's quite good to play this game using controller when exploring and fighting and switch to keyboard and mouse then sorting inventory (which is not really intuitive). Also potion mechanics in this game is probably the worst from the whole series but that's just a minor concern as the whole game is a really solid game with interesing characters (Letho among others) and well thought out plot. It's definitely worth playing. Even twice as your choices really matter and will lead to different outcomes, unlike in Witcher 3 where choices are mostly minor.

Shows its age in a bad way
I was a huge fan of the Witcher 3 so I decided to download the Witcher 2 because it was on sale. It's very dissapointing when compared to the witcher 3 in a lot of ways. the combat system is very simple and generally bad, making the game frustrating on higher difficulties and repetative on lower ones. Some of the boss battles are just absurd. The graphics aren't that bad for a game as old as it is, but that's not really that important. The progression and upgrading systems are also very old and simplistic. Overall, the game is fun a lot of the time but flawed and annoying at times.

A good sequel to a great game
Overall I liked the second part, however the due to drastic changes in combat and other game mechanics to suit the Console and of course the length of the game I can rate only 3.5 stars, however after finishing it and listening to Dandelion's tale I found it a good sequel to story of Geralt but it is not the end. The melancholic music and the beautiful entourage and visually pleasant presentation I definitely added a 0.5 of star to my review. You should definitely try it after W1 to see how the assassin's the kings are doing.
