Please add Mac OS
Great game with only one minus - guys, I don't want to play this game in Steam. But in Steam I can play on Mac and can't do it at GOG. Please do something with it T___T

Best of the series!
Great game, runs on newer pcs. It sets the stage for later games and it's essential (at least in my opinion) to fully comprehend what's happening (also books are useful). The game starts where the last book ends, with supposedly dead Geralt but SPOILER! he's not dead (WOW big surprise). For me Witcher 1 is the best installment in the series (and it's not my first!). I'll explain why - story and voice acting is just great (as always in Witcher games), combat is just fun! I don't know why but it's so satisfying landing that perfect shot! Yes, sometimes game can be buggy and the graphics are not as good as nowadays but it's an old game! You can't expect it to be up to todays standards and it's still less buggy then Cyberpunk 2077. I really cannot express this enough, play this game, at least give it a try! This game is very different from the following titles, it's mutch darker and it really fits this universe. 10/10 in my opinion.

Among the most interesting modern RPGs
I'll keep this review quick, as others have probably already discussed into the premise and mechanics of the game in great detail. This game as a very different feel to it that other RPGs, which could be good or bad. The gameplay mechanics I believe do a good job of making you feel like a monster hunter, since you have to research your targets and prepare yourself before battles. The combat is a bit simplistic, but it keeps you on your toes. The best part of this game is truly the story. Whereas modern RPGs like Fable and Mass Effect/Dragon Age make it very clear whether your choices are good or evil, the Witcher does an excellent job of establishing shades of grey. It really makes you ponder the extent to which your decisions affect the storyline, and they do indeed have interesting ramifications. The ending also has a very subtle revelation that really hits you hard once you realize it, and it gives gives sections earlier in the game a different light. All in all, I think that the Witcher is worthy of adding to any RPG fan's collection. It is by no means a perfect game, as it is a bit jumpy in performance and some of the voice acting isn't of high quality, but I feel the the unique aspects make the game well worth the money.

One of the best RPGs ever made
This is one of the best RPG's ever made, well thought, awesome combat, fantastic lore, deep and strong characters. And Geralt, well simply a deadly horney little devil that will strive to do the right thing and always save the girl, lol. if you are an RPG'er you MUST have this.

Great Storytelling
I've read all seven books about Geralt several times, and what still strikes me the most in this game - the spirit of Sapkowskij's dark fantasy world was transferred in game with true attention to details. Some things are not 'right' according to the source, but never the less, it is the same world, the same people, the same city. If you aren't fantasy geek like me, this game still worth looking for. Noir plot with greed, sex, treachery and with a lot of choices. Who is the good guy? Who is the bad one? Whom to protect and whom to kill? Who is trustworthy and who is only looking so? Great game, almost perfect IMO.
