Description
12 March 1938. Renée, 16 years old, is ripped out of her world, locked up and deprived of everything.
Her only fault was that she didn't know what her place in the world was.

The only horror you will find in this game is the truth: a blow to the solar plexus, much more intense than any supernatural presence
The Town of Light is a psychological adventure told in the first person. The story is set in Italy in the first half of the 20th Century in a place which really existed and has been meticulously reconstructed. Exploring and interacting with the environment you will relive the history of the main character through her confused viewpoint and on the basis of your choices, the story will develop in different ways.
Because of its contents, the game is intended only for adult users.

Where are you supposed to go??
3 hours of uninteresting walking around in dead silence, just to accidentally stumble on 8 seconds worth of story. I gave up a few chapters in. Don't know how far along I was. Typically I was jolted out of a light sleep at the end of most cutscenes, saying, "was that a cutscene? what did she say?"

Not a horror game
(I played the ps4 version) Town of light is a dull walking sim where you explore an asylum and follow a dull story of a woman visiting the place. Voice acting is pretty bad and you cannot skip it or turn it off. The asylum itself contains absolutely nothing of interest. If you have played any of The Chinese Room's games, you know what to expect here. Marketing this as a horror game is a lie: no horror of anykind is present, just walking and hearing the character talk. Not worth the full price, even when on sale i would recommend buying something else (Those Who Remain for example).
