It's a point and click game, however it's not a click fest like a lot of them. Don't need a walk-through on this even though the puzzles are challenging
The Tiny Bang Story does not really have a story, but it is a well made, beautiful puzzle and search mix. It also has a good replay value, as you will forget where all the objects are hidden pretty soon. Also the jigsaw puzzles remain interesting when replaying after some time. Apart from beautuful graphics the game also features quite good background music. The normal puzzles may be a little bit too easy but the emphasis of the game is on the hidden objects and not on the puzzles.
The addition of two colourful flies to help you find the last pieces is also well designed and balanced.
I played it on Linux using Wine (6.5) with no issues.
I'm usually not a big fan of hidden object games, but this game is actually pretty decent! It got fun mini games between the "pixel hunting" and there's big variations in the various environments you play in. It's short enough to not get tedious, but it's not too short.
Definitely worth to play if you enjoy hidden object games!
Tiny Bang Story is a hidden object game with no bang, no discernible story and with a bunch of screens that are connected only by visual style and reused visual elements. At least the music is elevator music, it won't get stuck in your head - if you manage to stay awake while listening to it.
The loading/title screens are beautiful, which is good because you cannot skip them when you start the game. Enjoy them while you can; the rest of the game looks nothing like the title screen.
As for game play, it looks like pixel-hunting is back in style. Make sure you have a good mouse, that left button will see some use!
Game progression is almost completely linear, you must solve the current "puzzle" before advancing to the next. The puzzles are all the same unimaginative puzzles that are standard fare for this genre. It wouldn't matter much if there was anything else to the game, but there isn't. At least they're boring.
If you get stuck on some of the puzzles, you won't have to worry about the hints being helpful. You only get one hint if you click on about 20 mosquitoes with tiny, tiny hit boxes that move around. At least they managed to sneak "tiny" into the game. Once you use a hint, you'll have to catch another batch of mosquitoes; rest assured, the next hint will also be useless (if it does anything at all).
If you want to be entertained, just set your $4.99 on fire. That would be better than this game.
