The Swindle

Do you want to see something interesting in this game? Maybe some thieving tools, an innovative approach to completing a given level? Then you have to move a few hours ahead in time. I lasted about 2 hours and still nothing. So you need either more perseverance or simply - reach for gameplay. It still won't be super innovative, the levels, although randomly generated, are very similar to each other. But it will be better than the game you will face at the beginning. * Sometimes the game is on promotion -90%. It is worth waiting if you actually want to buy it.

The Swindle is a solid stealth platformer that suffers from slightly clunky controls*. Good fun if you can get past that, and random levels mean a lot of replayability. Definitely worth a look! OK, basic premise: this is a thief "stealth" game where getting in front of one of the many bots will summon the police and jeopardize the mission. Problem is, whomever designed it decided to cut corners on level designers and just decided to go with random levels. Second problem is, this random level thing simply doesn't work: leaving aside the game's ability to create unconnected tunnels, randomly spawning enemies can create both ridiculously easy and ridiculously hard situations at random. Game design simply doesn't work. First time I say "I want my money back", but can't get it, since I bought it on Nintendo Switch.

Worst piece of garbage I've ever bought. It doesn't work with Wireless Xbox One controllers and even though the developer has know about this since the game came out they refuse to fix it.
