The Swapper

A Puzzle game? With a gripping athmosphere, with a story that begs you to do just one more before going to bed, an extremely well told one? It's a trope in computer games that stories are just there to have something for the cutscenes and somehow "explain" the gameplay -- oh no, not this one. This is one very very coherent piece of gameplay, story, artwork and ... philosophy? Well, the latter not quite, but it does provoke a thought or two. Best played alone, at night, in a dark room, with headphones. ... oh, and the puzzles are great too.

Puzzle games aren't my first choice when it comes to buying games but I regret not getting this one earlier. It's beautiful, it has an interesting mechanic, a mysterious story to uncover, and the puzzles aren't that hard. Don't skip it just because it's a puzzle game.

Just finished The Swapper - what a great game! The core gameplay is about solving cloning-based puzzles and those are challenging; what set this one apart for me was an excellent mood conveyed via unique world aesthetic and ambient sound together with enraging story.

I got a very great fun playing in the svapper. Played three days in a few hours, when the brain boil, turn down. Recommended to fans of puzzle games. 5 out of 5.

I like puzzle games but don't play a lot of them. I found difficulty in this one to be almost perfectly balanced between fair and challenging, just needed external help for two at the end. It's not a long fame, but the lenght fits very well its gameplay. Add to this pleasant graphics, great atmosphere and good story, and you have a truly great experience. If you like this kind of game, there is no reason not to play this one.
