The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf

I'm two hour in already and I'm LOVING it! The Smurfs Mission Vileaf is made by the same people who made the Asterix XXL remastereds and XXL3... and it shows! Humor, graphic solutions, addicting gameplay. It's all here. Its a really fun an cute Smurf game, that I can't stop raccomend to try. Reminds me of A LOT of games that I played (and still play) in my gamer life and if a game made me feal that way... it's a well-made game by default. Only a tiny point against the game for me is the difficulty... I personally think it's too easy on normal, but it's not that important, just a little note. I know Microids will publish more Smurf games in the next five years (I read the news about it) and if this is the quality and style they want to use on all their upcoming releases... than sign me in!! For me, it's an 7.8/10, really raccomanded!

Got this on release and absolutely no regrets. the graphics are great, the music is nice and relaxing. everything is just fun and great about this. even the game interface and menus are all very well done. really good game, enjoying the story and game play mechanics also really like the GOG achievements. its just fun and glad i got it, i can see lots of re-playability with this game especially with the co-op.

All in all, this is a mediocre platformer geared towards the younger player. I could recommend it if it were not for the serious technical issues that plague every platform except Xbox. Jumping is somehow tied to framerate. Anything above 60 prevents the player from jumping. Even once you find a workaround for it, the game still suffers from severe stuttering and frame pacing issues. So, unless you like using several 3rd party apps to fix it in conjunction with having g-sync, avoid it at all costs. It is drastically overpriced for its content and capabilities. All in all, I'm going to have to call this a fail due to poor optimization. I also see that there have been no patches since release. Not cool. This is one of those bottom-barrel games you find in the discount bin at Wal-Mart.

My kids loved it. 'Safe' and engaging gameplay , strumf-ntasic graphics. Soundtrack could have been better .
