The Smurfs 2 - The Prisoner of the Green Stone

when i started playing it is a fun smurf game but you do basically 2 thing collect green stuff and kill monsters and i bored.

While Mission Vileaf (the first one) was way better, this was fine on its own and I did enjoy it. I played both on the Xbox Series X. I wasn't bored playing it but once I finished it, I didn't feel like getting all the upgrades anymore. The challenges were a bit too hard to ace on a controller since the game requires a lot of aiming. You'll be okay on computer. I still recommend this when it's on sale.

The game first got me hooked with it's appealing artstyle and graphics. Then for the combat it started okay. Nothing more clicking a mouse button and sometimes Q for ability etc. you do get more unlocks like a honey bee gun thing and a bomb gun thing which makes combat a bit more interesting at it's core. However it suffer from repetitiveness . Enemy veriety is lacking , haven't encountered a single boss yet. Enemies are just sponges. Then comes the upgrade system which imo sucks. You need green stones etc which is obtained by breaking rocks killing stuff and special challenges. Breaking rocks become repetitive quick. Enemies are there just to be there. And special challenges are worst. They are just timed thingy. And they need to be accessed through the level. I don't see anything in main menu to get their access. It's okay for kids ig. But if you are adult , our time is too precious to waste on mediocre games.

Look this is a kids game, yet from a technical experience and visual perspective its not as smooth as it should be. The first level, has annoying bubbling sounds. Even changing the sound levels at 20% and 5% they do not get any quieter. Too many same repetitive larger rectangle pop ups. Too many reminders pop ups which are larger rectangle pop ups. The cut scene videos are not as smooth as the original or reboot cartoons when they encounter danger. When speaking the mouth movements are weird, unlike the cartoons. Game froze after gargamels talk and entering the green portal. Heart of the frozen 24/37 The pictures of this game show the third person perspective zoomed out, this only occurs when your player is sprinting. The zoom in, does not assist with aiming. The second healing flower does not heal if your in the middle, yet the healing sound is heard. We had more fun playing with the original smurf figures, I wanted to like this smurf game but no go. There are better games out there for $40, and the steam forum has posts of the same issues I have listed above and more. 2/5
