A nice successor to the classic RPGs
This game is for those who want to scratch that old RPG itch. This game presents you a nice world, with rather simple but nice graphics, that even looks good on my Intel HD 3000 chip. The interface is well done, simple, but maybe even therefor so good. All you need is on the right side of the screen, like in the good ol`days. Attacking is easy, either by clicking on the attack button, or simply by left clicking on the enemy. Magic is done via a simple to reach and use menu. The UI is very intuitive, at least in my opinion. The skill system is also well done, some mix between TES learning by doing and the good old distribute your points at level up. The two skills that you used the most since last levelup get 2 points for a levelup (I guess so, not exactly sure, can be only one) and then you also get 10 skillpoints and 5 attribute points to distribute. Each skill can be only two times as high as the governing attribute. You can also find skillbooks and trainers, who train your skills for money. Money is a bit of a problem in this game. You`ll need it, you`ll really NEED it. You have to repair your equipment, have to buy spellbooks, food, potions and clothes. Yeah, you need better clothes, because at the beginning you look like a beggar, and people don`t really like that, especially the nobles. And you have to speak to the nobles for some quests and the main quest. Without good clothes, they don`t talk to you at all. But besides that, it is a really nice game and fun to play. Pros: -Simple, but nice graphics - A big world to explore - An interesting skillsystem - Brew potions - Enchant items - A wide variety of items - Many options to create a character Cons: - You have to spend too much of your gold to maintain your character and his/her equipment - Archers are too strong (but that seems to be the case in every RPG) - Enemies seldom drop loot other than a few coins.
