Lose yourself in a tale of magic and wonder, where anything is possible and where nothing is quite what it seems: join young Jerry and follow a peculiar white rabbit to the wondrous realm of Mousewood, a land where critters can speak and where mystery abounds.
It is here that Jerry’s dream of being a magician comes true, though a haunting, sinister force casts a long shadow over the forest. Someone offers the residents of Mousewood a deal of their lifetime - tickets to the greatest magic show that the world has ever seen. But the price is steep, as they'll have to bet their houses, their money… and their lives.
As the shadows grow deeper, the residents of Mousewood have only Jerry to turn to. On an adventure full of laughter and tears, joy and fear, the young boy will face the ultimate trial, leaving behind the world he once knew, and his childhood, too, will become a thing of the past.
It’s a story-driven exploration/adventure from Matthias Kempke, who believes that game design is all about creating new worlds to be explored by players.
Multi-layered story that starts out light-hearted and funny, but which shifts to a dramatic and thought-provoking tone over the 20 hours of gameplay.
The animal people who populate the game were originally developed in short stories written by game creator; these stories are included as the in-game bonuses.

Are you ready for an adventure on the second last day of your summer vacation? Start a wonderful journey through a scenic adventure land and explore the (dark / sad / surprising ?) secrets within.
Seriously Jimmy is just annoying the hell out of me. Why would anyone like this dweeb? He is annoying, doesn't shut up and doesn't get anything. Which come to think most point and click characters do. But most of them are played as dumbasses which actually makes them very likeable. But Johnny is "just a kid" so he isn't really stupid, he isn't crazy or something, he is just a normal buy and as such he is super annoying. I rather would have played the game as the Marqui.
Otherwise the scenes are great and the music is just beautiful, especially the night sounds which are more minimalistic and I just can jam to that. That is what I like to play on a hot summer night.
The story too isn't to bad, well it is nothing special and some stuff just doesn't make any sense, it is sometimes only producing drama for the sake of drama. I hate that. But it is enjoyable.
So if you can put up with the annoying ramblings of Jimmy and you love point and click games. Wait why writing a review if you love point and click games you already have this one. Since deadalic makes the best point and click games those days.
The world is interesting, but story is lacklusting. A lot of puzzles are illogical, and the game does not really support trial and error, you have to bear with the repeating and very long dialogues again and again. For the better half of it I used a walkthrough to get by, and most of the puzzles had a solution that even after knowing the solution I said "how the hell should I knew that?". The card minigame is completely optional, but somehow enjoyable if you had no previous experience with Go Fish. Very similar to caravan in Fallout NV, but a lot bigger part of the game.
Even so, the game has a very good amount of content, and the visuals are all really nice. 13 hours of gameplay makes the price worthy.
Spoiler-free tip: unlike most other point'n'click games, the some items are really designed to sit in your inventory for quite while. If you get stucked, try to use your newly gathered items and the spells first, it is rare you have to use an old item for going forward.
