The Nations Gold Edition

This game has some really nice graphics but they are poorly animated, the character's don't move smoothly. Its basically a settlers clone and isn't even as enjoyable as that. Its kind of tedious realising you haven't trained a baker after having gone through all the tribulations required to build a bakery. Combat is secondary and consists of hiring a band of warriors and sending them into enemy territory. There are no tactics involved. There are some really cute ideas such as the flying merchant who delivers your orders and your citizens having families but ultimately it has very little effect on the game and just adds uneccesary complexity.

Hello, I think that's playing very well but I have a small problem which I would like to have in German, there is a language-patch, or a link to where can I download it? would appreciate a fast answer and thank you in advance.

When I was growing up Jowood was synonymous with making some of the most craptastic and cheapest games on the market. Even as a kid I realized anything with that little blue Jowood symbol should be utterly avoided. CompUSA used to literally give all the Jowood games away with mail-in-rebates in their circulars. I got almost all of Jowoods games for free and still hated them. The Nations was probably their best game...it has some neat ideas...but the Jowood ineptitude inevitably surfaces. Never could even recommend this game for free..let alone paying over 5 dollars for it. Ugh. Two stars because it stands slightly above their other horrible titles.

From the pictures I thought it was something similar to Age of Empires or anything like this. I don't like ducks and cartoon characters, I do regret paying for this.
