Cheesy Adventure with dumb solutions

The game is filled with dumb solutions and even dumber jokes, the main character is an inept Pizza adicted and conspirency theory obsessed Scotland Yard detective whose job is to solve murders happening in England which soon lead you to discover the supernatural connected to it. The game is tedious a lot of solutions make absolutly no sense, like using a evidence binder to unlock a gate, that is why you recommend you play it with a friend through Parsec (or other prefered app) or in person it will lead to you two having a great laugh and many internal jokes for years to come it should also reduce tedium of this rough gem. Whever you're stuck I recommend you look at a guide because this "masterpiece" of a story is something everyone should know of. Should you buy it? If you enjoy point and click adventures and want to laugh along the way, I couldn't recommend it more but be prepred to scratch your head for most of it and as I said before it's 1000x times more enjoyable if you share the experiance with a friend.

100% meme and it works

I bought this and it was the best day of my life. 1€ for this is a steal. All those 0/5 are steam losers. GoG works. This game is a treasure worth keeping.

Another Forgotten Gem

One thing I MUST say above all else is to anyone who is debating whether to buy this off Steam or from GOG: BUY IT HERE!! The Steam version is broken - and is known to be broken, at the point in the lab early in the game, where you hand over a bone to the scientist, the game WILL crash every single time and you will never get to finish the game. There is no fix (and you think Valve are interested in helping you? Dream on). This version works beautifully. As for the game itself, it's clunky, it's dated, the cut scenes are mostly terrible, but as ever, when the story is this good who (among actual gamers, who actually play games) cares?! The voice acting is above average in this one too and you actually get a feel for the characters. Have all the smooth, flashy graphics you like - if the storyline isn't there what's the point? Likewise, as with so so many titles like this one, you won't give a damn that the character models are clunky, just sit yourself down and get totally absorbed. Although turn the music down as it does drown out the voices at default setting.

The greatest point and click ever

The Mystery of the druids is a game which I first through of as a joke. A mistake which was carried by the sheer absurdity of its cover art. However I was mistaken. This game had amazing forethought. It has a variety of JoJo's bizzare adventure references which I take as a sign that the creators of the game were influenced by a fair amount of classic literature. In fact the game shouts out Sir Arthur Conan Doyle several times. Now the game is a fantastic romp throughout the London streets. You play as a down on his luck investigator. This is communicated masterfully to the player through the use of "optional" voice mails in which we learn that he hasn't spoke to his elderly mother in months and that he hasn't paid his Pizza tab. I think that this is a true example of how far this game went for its craft. Its one of the greatest texts to ever exist in my opinion. Jean Paul Sartre Proposed in his 1946 seminar that Essence proceeds Existence and I would be prone to agree. Basic existential concepts centre around the idea of being and personality being formed or developed. Now you may ask why I am vastly oversimplifying and explaining complex literary concepts. The answer is simple. Our main character experiences Existential dread throughout the entire story. The game is this story. The idea of existential dread is the concept that when someone looses a hobby or job that was an integral part of their life, they come to the realisation that their identity was in said hobby/job. This means that they are impacted horrifically. Is not the skeleton murders an allegory for our main characters deep depression? Is not all flesh from the body being shed an obvious metatextual reference for the skeletons experiencing existential dread? And are we not all woodgators? I rest my case. 10/10
