The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II

second legend of heroes game bought from gog refusing to download and followiong all the steps might update it once gog actually lets me play what I paid for

While you still get 50+ hours of gameplay, you may be disappointed. Since I've played the first game I expected much more - what you get are 90% same locations and same characters. The story seems much worse than in the first game and the characters feel flat and uninspired - the authors simply made two games for the price of one...

Going from schoolkid to a runaway rebel is a neat change too but this game is a great addition to the legend of heroes story

Well i wasnt pretty impressed with the Final Chapter of the first one, it was a waste and ruined lots of things in my opinion but never the less it was still a good game overall. This second game here, ruins the game fruther more and feels like some fanboy, that also likes soul games sorts of, without any knowledge of design made it. If i had to rate first and second game fomr A to D it would be: A to A+ ToCS1 without final chapter A- ToCS1 with final chapter C to C- ToCS2 Summary: You are totally powerless compared to ToCS1, they changed lots of quartz and stuff that existed before, you miss a damn lot even with 50% ACC and get countered of cause, you take way to much dmg from low enemys and you heal pretty low amounts too, stuff costs way to much seph and you dont get that much, u material is still rare but you need even more compared to ToCS1, when you met someone from before its like you havent seen them for 5-10 years but its only 1 month, lots of stuff is forgotten from story, still like a tunnel and less freedom then part 1 and so on and so bad...

It's like a final fantasy with crappy anime graphics but a WAY better, more mature story and deeper combat. Loved it. Can't wait for the next installation.
