The Inner World

I liked it. The main protagonist is clumsy, clueless and so innocent. But he is also so kind hearted and cute. There are some funny moments. Puzzles are fun and not too hard, although I got stuck sometimes, the hints are helpful enough to go on. Enjoyable soundtrack, fun caracters. What I loved the most about the game was the story. The ending was so worth it, i even shed a tear. It was not rushed at all, it had a nicely built epilogue and thats not so common. All the cut scenes are well done, the animation is very pretty, I feel the story could be made into an animated movie :) Yes, there were some bugs, like audio missing from subtitles and once the save menu froze but luckily the game autosaved pretty often so that was nothing that stopped me from starting over or not being able to finish. Recommend !

Beautiful game Generally good voice acting (esp the protagonist) A good story and meaningful characters. I actually got chills when I finally got the orchestra to play. There's some very minor save and sound glitches. And of course, along the way there were a few puzzles I thought were misleading or unfair. But those were a very tiny minority. And, these days, with walkthroughs and built-in hints, those are just minor annoyances. I've been playing point and click adventure puzzlers for decades and this is definitely high end.

The Inner World is a traditional style point and click adventure game with hand drawn 2D graphics with a nice story, an interesting world of its own, and some very interesting creatures. It starts a bit slowly, with the characters speaking more that they should, and the hotspots having descriptions longer than needed, but the pace picks up from the middle of the game onwards. The puzzles are on the medium to easy side without being uninteresting or boring, the dialogues could and should have been snappier, the voice acting is ok, but it could have been quicker spoken in many cases. The sound/music is fitting of the world, and the world itself with its own lore is a fresh twist on the fnatasy genre. The humour is not as funny as the writers would hope it is, certainly not laugh-out-loud, and we could have been spared a lot lines of non plot advancing dialogue if some (many) of the weaker jokes were to be omitted. All in all, a recommendable game which should have benefited from a tighter script/dialogue. If you are an adventure-game fan and catch this at a discount price you won't regret the money or the time.

This is a low budget game in a lot of ways, from the stilted dialogue and bad voice acting to the relatively short length (several hours long). But I had immense fun in this weird and heart-warming world. The backgrounds were nicely drawn, the gameplay was good, the puzzles were rewarding, and the characters (the main character in particular) were absolutely adorable.
