After working for more than ten years as the private assistant of the enigmatic railroad magnate Hadley Strange, the news of his sudden and unexpected death along his entire family takes you by surprise. Now you have been appointed as the executor in charge of fulfilling his last will,and take care of his majestic manor, a luxurious property on the outskirts of London. the game get monotonous. It can be fun to play but the primary objective seems to be unlocking doors, with keys or other means. the house is big with many rooms and drawers to open. Allot of work went into designing the house and looks fantastic and looks like it would be full of puzzles. But Most drawers have nothing you need to advance the story line (some do). The rooms only have one or two puzzles to solve. The puzzles are not that difficult and are fairly intuitive i like that part. Ending was disappointing. Almost like a movie that needed to get in the can so they hurried the ending. If they made the content of that house more exciting it would have been a great game, the environment was great.
Story is interesting and plausible enough.
Logical puzzles are not too difficult, and the hint mechanism is appreciated to streamline pacing just a bit.
Layout design prevents some excessive backtracking.
Very nice visual presentation and atmosphere.
Reminds me of 7th Guest. Very atmospheric with womderful music. It is easy to be engrossed into this game and let the time pass as you gradually make progress. The hint button is very useful if the next logical step is not actually that logical! Overall, a pleasant game.
Immersive, bit of mystery, plenty of medium and mediocre puzzles, working hinting system, bit wonky in performance department and troubling controls. The last parts feel a bit rushed. Buy on sale. Shouldn't take longer than two evenings to finish.
