Description
In this Cyberpunk-inspired run'n'gun-roguelite the world is controlled by technocratic elites who seek digital immortality and transcend their human bodies and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. 
Fight through randomly generated levels in glorious 16bit-style retro pixel art and listen to an awesome dynamic soundtrack while you blast away robots using one of 60 weapons. Upgrade your character, find items, unlock allies that will help you and find the spirits of European heroes that will give you special powers. Now it is your turn to join the Great Rebellion! 
Immerse yourself in the dystopian Europe of the year 20XX, where the Lucis Lux Mega-Corporation owns everything and the people own nothing. You play the role of Human 10.28, a man who decides he had enough. He doesn't want to be a cog in the soul-destroying system anymore and takes up the fight against a seemingly all-powerful enemy!

Arcade Action
Great Rebellion reminds me of a time that I would feed aracde machines at the mall with quarters. I don't usually enjoy this style of sustained high-energy game, but Great Rebellion is well balanced.

An Anti-WEF Game!
Now, anti-globalism plot aside, The Great rebellion is a solid rogue-lite action platformer. Controls are tight, weapons are fun, enemies test you, environmental obstacles work your grey matter a little, and the visual aesthetic is like a grittier version of Terraria. Even without the very based plot premise, The Great rebellion is an action platformer fans' action platformer. The plot? Well, kinda like the real world post 2010. Global mega corporations play God, sociopolitical agendas are used to confuse and confound, govts are just middle managers between corpos and everyone else, personal autonomy is demonized...frighteningly like the real world in 2024.
