The First Tree

As others have said, it's not for everyone, but then again, it may surprise you, and you may surprise yourself. It's essentially an exploration game, there is a "path", but you need to stray from it to find things. Chill out, immerse yourself in the music and the sounds, and possibly get gut punched in the emotions when you least expect it. From a gameplay perspective, the keyboard controls are not mappable. It is best played with a controller. Right until the penultimate section, where a mouse click works for highlighted interaction and the normal controller button may not. But that's the extent of potential interface issues.

I have played some really good story games like firewatch, but this game just sucks. it is boring and empty and the story is just bad.

Beautiful trip, I was speachless in the end. But its a specific game, without gameplay, you just running over the locations. Music is fantastic, and the story is worth your money : ) big minus for bugs

A bit of a platformer, a bit of a walking simulator, but in no way difficult or challenging...and that is how a game like this should be. You follow the journey of a fox that symbolizes the story of the narrator, in some way. Thus, I'd describe it less as a game but more like an emotional, relaxing and in the end touching experience. It can easily be completed in 2-3 hours. It lacks a bit on the technical side: Graphics could be better, though it didn't disturb me in enjoying the game. Ambient sounds and music are fantastic. Voice acting was well done. It's not a game for everyone. If you're looking for challenging puzzles or action, it's not for you. But if you looking for a relaxing and emotional journey that can be played and completed in one evening, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

This game is an experience that will stick with me for a long time. I found the game to be a big change of pace from what I'm use to and now I want more games like this. From the chill gameplay to the engaging narration to the simple yet elegant visuals. It got me.
